Local reports suggest Dorcaz may have resisted the armed robbery, though officials have not confirmed this. Authorities stated, “Video surveillance cameras in the area are being analyzed to identify the likely perpetrators who were traveling on two motorcycles.”

The 29-year-old artist was driving to the home he shared with his girlfriend, influencer Mariana Avila, when the attack took place. Police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the shooting.

Emotional Tributes From Loved Ones & Fans

Following his tragic death, the team behind “Las Estrellas Bailan En Hoy” released a heartfelt tribute on social media. “The Hoy family mourns the sad passing of our friend and colleague, Fede Dorcaz,” the statement read.

“We share in the grief felt by his entire family, his parents, and his girlfriend, Mariana Avila. Fede leaves a huge void in our team. His memory and his passion will continue to inspire us forever.”

Avila, who has millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, also posted an emotional message on X. “You loved Mexico with all your being, just as everyone who knew you loved you,” she wrote, alongside a video of Dorcaz talking about his life and career in Mexico.

Fans quickly filled her post with condolences and prayers. One wrote, “It’s a shame that such horrible people exist in this world. No one, Fede included, deserved something this cruel.”

Born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, Dorcaz spent part of his childhood in Majorca before moving to Mexico two years ago to pursue his music career. He was hailed by Rolling Stone earlier this year as “a rising Latin star ready to redefine global Latin pop.”

After starting his career as a model, Dorcaz transitioned into music and gained recognition across Latin America for hits like “Cara Bonita” (which translates to “Pretty Face”) and “Moka,” a duet with Avila.

The couple was set to perform together on “Las Estrellas Bailan En Hoy” when tragedy struck. The show’s new season was scheduled to premiere next week.

As tributes continue to pour in, fans and fellow artists are remembering Dorcaz not only for his talent but also for his warmth, passion, and determination. His legacy, they say, will continue to live on through his music and the love he inspired around the world.

  1. I am so sick of innocent people being killed because a few lazy scumbags don’t want to live the right way and work for what they want. I pray they get the evil people that stole his life from him. Praying for the familia🙏❤️
