‘Married at First Sight’ Stars Get Engaged After Season 18 Difficulty

Sometimes reality TV chaos turns into a real love story. And yep, that seems to be exactly what happened for Madison Myers and David Trimble.

The two “Married at First Sight” Season 18 cast members are officially engaged. Their relationship first sparked plenty of headlines during the season, but now the couple is celebrating a brand-new chapter together. And it seems like they’re more than ready for it.

Their season aired from October 2024 through March 2025, and fans definitely remember the moment things took a turn. During Episode 18, titled “Cheat and Retreat,” Myers and Trimble admitted they were attracted to each other while still married to their respective partners, Allen Slovick and Michelle Tomblin.

Needless to say, the situation got messy fast. But as viewers watched the season unfold, it seemed pretty clear that both marriages were already struggling. Whether their connection formed because of those issues (or simply because they found something real with each other) is still up for debate among fans.

What’s not up for debate anymore? The two are now planning a wedding.

Madison Myers Announces Engagement On Instagram

Myers confirmed the exciting news on Instagram on March 16, 2026, sharing a slideshow of photos from the big moment. The proposal appeared to have a festive St. Patrick’s Day theme, with green décor and plenty of celebratory energy.

In the caption, she wrote:

“The easiest yes of my life 😍 Simply just over the moon from this weekend with a proposal and surprise engagement party with some of our closest friends and family. I love you more than anything @chitown_shark and I can’t wait to marry you! 💍❤️#Engaged #BridalEra #LuckyCharmSecured #MAD“

According to reports, Trimble proposed during a date by presenting a ring hidden inside a dice-shaped box before getting down on one knee. The ring features an oval-cut diamond on a thin band with additional pave diamonds for extra sparkle. (People)

The slideshow Myers shared included several photos from the celebration, showing the couple smiling together and posing with friends and family during the engagement party.

What’s Next For ‘Married at First Sight’?

While Myers and Trimble are celebrating their engagement, the franchise itself is also heading into a new era. “Married at First Sight” has moved from Lifetime to Peacock as an Original Series, from Season 19 onward.

But, at the time of this writing, a release date for Season 20 hasn’t been officially announced yet. Early reports suggest the upcoming season will take place in Seattle and could premiere sometime during the summer of 2026.

As for Myers and Trimble, their relationship has continued to grow since the show wrapped. The couple confirmed during the Season 18 reunion that they stayed together after filming and continued building their relationship away from the cameras.

And now, it seems like the experiment may have worked out after all; just not in the way anyone expected. The two look more than ready for this next chapter together, if their engagement photos are any indication.
