Jess Walton Pays Tribute

A Soap Career That Spanned Generations
Rogers first stepped into the role of Colin in 2010, playing the character until 2012. He returned from 2014 to 2017, and later reprised the role in 2019. Cane, Colin’s son, was initially portrayed by Daniel Goddard, who exited in 2019. In June 2025, Billy Flynn took over as Cane and revealed on screen that Colin had died six months earlier.
Before his run on Y&R, Rogers was best known for playing Robert Scorpio on “General Hospital,” a role he originated in 1980. His work on GH cemented him as one of daytime television’s most beloved figures.
From General Hospital to Y&R and Back
After leaving Y&R in 2012, Rogers returned to GH, making several appearances between 2013 and 2014 while also doing double duty on both soaps during 2015 and 2016. Following his 2017 exit from Y&R, he rejoined GH again in 2018 and remained on the show in a recurring capacity through 2024. He appeared in his final GH episodes in July 2025, just weeks before his death.
Rogers’ career was marked by resilience, passion, and a deep connection to his fans. His final Y&R appearance now serves as both a farewell and a tribute to a soap legend whose presence defined daytime television for decades.
