Rick Devens is already preparing for an uncomfortable moment ahead of the upcoming “Survivor 50” live reunion.
The fan-favorite contestant told Page Six that while he’s excited to reunite with the cast after the landmark season, there’s one person he is not eager to see again: Jenna Lewis-Dougherty.
“The only person I don’t really want to see is Jenna,” Devens told the outlet. “She trolled me the whole season. It just blows my mind.”
Devens also predicted the reunion itself could get tense after months of post-show interviews and social media commentary from cast members.
“I do think there’s going to be drama. You know, with the exit press, there’s been a lot of back and forth,” he explained.
Still, Devens made clear that much of his frustration stems from what happened after filming wrapped — not necessarily from the game itself.
Rick Devens Says Jenna Lewis-Dougherty Kept Targeting Him After the Show
According to Devens, the tension with Lewis-Dougherty escalated throughout the season as players continued discussing the game publicly.
“In her exit press she’s name-calling and bashing us, and then she just kept doing it all season,” he said. “That’s not the way I play the game. So I was just over it.”
The “Survivor: Edge of Extinction” alum also pushed back on claims Lewis-Dougherty reportedly made to Page Six about supposed pregame alliances involving several players before filming began.
Devens specifically denied accusations involving himself, Christian Hubicki, and Emily Flippen.
“[It’s] not true at all,” he said.
Instead, Devens explained that his communication with cast members before the season was minimal.
“Aubry and I texted, and when I found out she was on, I was like, ‘Hey, I wanna see you out there,’” he recalled, referring to fellow “Survivor 50” star Aubry Bracco.
“And Angelina had reached out to me — I think probably every single person,” he added.
Rick Devens Says He’s Still ‘Super Psyched’ for the Reunion
Despite the tension surrounding some cast relationships, Devens emphasized that he’s still looking forward to the reunion overall.
The longtime “Survivor” personality said he is “super psyched” to reunite with much of the cast and celebrate one of the franchise’s biggest milestone seasons with fans.
He also revealed that previous tension with fellow contestant Joe Hunter has already been resolved.
“He is a great guy. We’re friends now,” Devens said. “We sent our apologies back and forth.”
Who Is Still Competing on ‘Survivor 50’?
With the finale now set, five contestants remain in the running for the historic $2 million prize on “Survivor 50.”
The finalists are Aubry Bracco, Tiffany Ervin, Joe Hunter, Rizo Velovic, and Jonathan Young.
The group represents a wide mix of “Survivor” eras, from longtime returning legends like Bracco to newer-era competitors who quickly became fan favorites during their original seasons.
The three-hour finale is expected to feature the final tribal council, winner reveal, and live reunion special as one of the biggest seasons in franchise history comes to an end.
The “Survivor 50” live finale and reunion airs next Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
