Taylor Swift‘s fans now have another reason to get excited about the launch of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” Following the news that her release party is scheduled to hit theaters, the superstar singer now has her own SiriusXM channel dedicated to her hits (and more!).
Taylor’s Channel 13, as it’s called — and, of course, is her favorite number — launches on Saturday, September 20, which just happens to be 13 days before her new album drops. The channel will run until Sunday, October 19. It can be found on satellite channel 13 and on the SiriusXM app.
If you pop it on, you’ll find that the channel is set to play Swift’s most popular songs, tunes that might be new to you, live versions and treasures “From the Vault.” When “The Life of a Showgirl” drops on Friday, October 3, at 12:00 a.m. EST, Swift’s SiriusXM channel will play the full album every other hour so fans can get their fill.
Swift ‘Dominate[s] the Music World’
There’s no doubt that plenty of fans will be thrilled to find out about Swift’s new SiriusXM channel and will be enjoying it leading up to the launch of “The Life of a Showgirl.” That’s exactly what those behind the scenes are expecting thanks to the star’s massive popularity and wide reach.
“Taylor Swift continues to not only dominate the music world, but also every aspect of pop culture,” Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer, said in a statement, according to People.
He added: “Her chart-topping, award-winning songs resonate with every generation of listeners, and we are thrilled to deliver our subscribers a place to celebrate their fandom and the new album with the launch of Taylor’s Channel 13.”
“SiriusXM has proudly supported Taylor from the very beginning of her career and championed her artistry every step of the way,” Greenstein also noted.
Swift’s SiriusXM Channel Is a ‘Unique Destination for Fans’
While Swift’s loyal fans may have listened to her songs more times than they can count, her new SiriusXM channel will apparently be a new way for them to hear her music.
“The channel is a unique destination for fans to connect in a way like never before, hear her music across all eras of her legendary career and celebrate The Life of a Showgirl in a uniquely SiriusXM way,” Greenstein also said in the statement.
