Plenty of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” alums have gone on to build successful careers as influencers and content creators following their time on the franchise. “The Bachelor” season 21 contestant Alexis Waters is certainly one of them, but recently, she’s been setting her sights on a completely different career path.
In a series of TikToks, Waters revealed that she’s declaring 2026 her “year of saying yes” and has already taken a major leap by auditioning for her first-ever film role.
Alexis Waters Is Making 2026 ‘the Year of Saying Yes’ as She Auditions for Her First Movie Role
Alexis Waters may be best remembered for boldly stepping out of the limo in a dolphin costume on “The Bachelor” season 21, where she first met lead Nick Viall. While Viall didn’t exactly join in on the fun, Waters fully committed to the bit, going so far as to take a few laps around the Bachelor Mansion pool while still in costume.
Now, it appears Waters is channeling that same fun-filled personality into acting. In a recent TikTok, she revealed that she auditioned for her first-ever film role.
“I am doing my first ever audition tape. I have no idea what I’m doing, but, like, this is the year I’m not overthinking anything and I’m just going balls in,” she shared. “Anyways wish me luck. We’re gonna do it and like, you never know what could happen.”
She continued, “This is the year of saying yes.”
In a second TikTok, Waters shared that her husband, Tyler Fernandez, helped her prepare for the audition by playing the other character as she filmed her tape. “And now he thinks he’s an actor,” Waters joked.
When Waters asked her husband how she did for her audition, Fernandez replied, “Great.” When she followed up by asking how he thought he did, he quipped, “Amazing.”
Waters Married Tyler Fernandez in a ‘Wild’ Las Vegas Wedding
Waters did not find love with Nick Viall during her time on “The Bachelor.” She later appeared on season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” but ultimately didn’t meet her perfect match there either.
Waters found love outside the Bachelor franchise and found love with a man named Tyler Fernandez. According to People, the two got engaged in March 2023, which just so happened to be Waters’ 30th birthday.
The couple chose a wedding that was anything but traditional. Waters and Fernandez tied the knot in Las Vegas at the Little White Chapel, where an Elvis Presley impersonator officiated the ceremony. Speaking to People, Waters shared that the location held special meaning to her and Fernandez.
“Tyler’s family loves Vegas and I never wanted a big wedding so I just wanted to elope and do something fun and wild,” Waters said. “My mom also got married at the Little White Chapel and that was her only marriage that lasted, so I am just trying to keep the tradition alive in the family.”
