Charity Lawson and Rachel Recchia of “The Bachelorette” are set to host the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, taking the reins from Joe Amabille and Serena Pitt. Amabille and Pitt revealed that Lawson and Recchia would be following in their footsteps on the latest episode of the “one and only official Bachelor Nation podcast.”
Joe and Serena are Leaving ‘Bachelor Happy Hour’
Amabille began his final podcast episode with a catchy hook, saying that he and Pitt were with the audience for “one last time.” He then joked “Did we get a sound bite out of that?” before Pitt expressed how “crazy” it sounded to hear him officially announce their departure.
“We’re kicking off 2026, saying ‘see you guys later, we’re leaving,’” he continued.
“See you soon, sayonara!” said Pitt.
The married couple explained that “it’s been a while” but that the time had come for them to stop hosting ‘Bachelor Happy Hour.’ They expressed that the “crazy” past two and a half years has been a “great ride” in which they experienced many life-changing moments.
“Since being on this podcast, we got married; we had a wedding–two weddings, basically–and so many other amazing memories together,” said Pitt. Amabille and Pitt met on season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” ultimately getting engaged in the show’s finale.
“We did it, Joe!” she joked.
The duo recounted their favorite seasons of the show to react to and recap.
“This past season of ‘Paradise’ was fun just because it’s nostalgic. And they did try so many new things with it that it was fun to kind of break down and give our opinions on what was working, what wasn’t working, who we’re rooting for,” answered Pitt.
“Probably Charity’s. I did enjoy her season,” replied Amabille.
Pitt said that it is a sad goodbye to the fans, but that the decision feels “so right” for this chapter of her and Amabille’s lives and that the two are excited for what’s to come next.
Rachel and Charity will Host the Podcast
Lawson and Recchia began their hosting gig a few minutes into the episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour.” The two expressed that they are shocked, excited and a little “scared” to begin their new work.
“To be doing podcasting and hosting together? Incredible,” said Lawson of the new experience.
Recchia joked that she thought she had been “blacklisted by ‘The Bachelor’ because she appeared on another reality show. In 2025, she was a contestant on Netflix’s “Perfect Match.”
“We’re coming in really at the perfect timing,” said Lawson of taking up the hosting position before the start of Taylor Frankie Paul’s “The Bachelorette” season.
“Taylor’s going to make it easy,” echoed Recchia.
Pitt and Amabille continued to discuss Lawson and Recchia’s upcoming reign over “Bachelor Happy Hour,” with the new duo asking questions about how to best host the show. The four “Bachelor” alum chatted happily throughout the episode, with Pitt and Amabille expressing their excitement for Lawson and Recchia.
