Although Nashville trio DEK of Hearts didn’t win season 28 of “The Voice” (Aiden Ross took home the prize), the finalists still won a pretty awesome honor that will come to fruition on New Year’s Day 2026: the chance to perform at the 137th annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.
The group, who were finalists on pop star Niall Horan’s team, received the most votes from “The Voice” viewers during the show’s first-ever “Mic Drop” contest, earning them a spot in the televised parade. On December 19, Pasadena Tournament of Roses organizers announced that DEK of Hearts will be part of the parade’s grand finale.
How to Catch ‘The Voice’ Artists DEK of Hearts in the Rose Parade Live or After the Parade
The Rose Parade follows a five-and-a-half-mile route through Pasadena, California, beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern time. According to press materials, the event will end with a “vibrant, high-energy finale” featuring Grammy-nominated Capital Cities’ Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian playing their huge hit “Safe and Sound” — one of the most Shazam’d song in history — alongside DEK of Hearts.
Organizers say the finale will feature “24 explosive dancers tearing through a range of styles—from flappers to hip-hop—against a convoy of era-spanning classic cars.” As Capital Cities and DEK of Hearts perform, the grand finale will end with a “confetti-drenched, color-soaked celebration of joy and nostalgia.”
The approximately two-hour parade will be televised on multiple networks — ABC, CNN, Fox, Great American Family, KTLA, NBC, Telemundo and Univision — though all 85 floral foats, equestrian units and musicians may not be broadcast.
However, organizers say every single “unit” involved in the parade will be streamed on eight platforms — Christmas Plus, Dooya, FanDuel Sports Network, Fubo Sports Network, GFam+, Great American Pure Flix, Pluto TV and Samsung TV Plus — and available to watch in its entirety via TikTok Live. If you don’t catch the parade live on TV, press materials say the official livestream will remain available to watch through January 14, 2026, on most platforms.
Who is DEK of Hearts?
DEK of Hearts is a trio of musicians, quickly becoming known for their beautiful harmonies and pop-country vibe. The D-E-K in their group name stands for the first letter of their first names — Dylan John, Emily Clapp, and Kollin Bailey. They earned a four-chair turn during their audition for “The Voice,” and made it to the Top 3 finalists on the show. According to their website, they formed their trio in April 2024, after graduating from Trevecca Nazarene University, a private liberal arts college in Nashville.
In the days leading up to the Rose Parade, the group is sharing glimpses of their experience in Pasadena via their Instagram Stories, including posting photos of their wardrobes and rehearsals.
NBCFor the first time on “The Voice,” NBC held a “Mic Drop” contest during the Knockout rounds of season 28. Each celebrity coach — Horan, Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg — could select one of the artists on their teams who crushed their Knockout performance to compete for viewers’ votes.
Horan chose DEK of Hearts, Bublé chose 14-year-old Max Chambers, McEntire selected country crooner Aaron Nichols, and Snoop went with R&B singer YOSHIHANAA. On December 8, “The Voice” host Carson Daly announced that DEK of Hearts received the most votes and would be appearing in the Rose Parade.
