The “Big Brother 28” house entered another critical stretch after Lala used the Power of Veto and Dee followed through with her plan to nominate Mallory in her place.
Taran Armstrong and guest Matt broke down the latest strategy from Day 49 during the RHAP “Big Brother 28” Live Feed Update. With Dee holding the Head of Household power, the house is now looking toward an eviction vote that could further reshape its increasingly complicated alliance structure.
Mallory appears to be in the most immediate danger, but several players are already thinking beyond this week’s vote.
Mallory Replaces Lala on the ‘Big Brother 28’ Block
Dee originally nominated Drew, Lala and Taylor, but Lala’s Veto victory guaranteed that the HOH would have to make another decision.
Lala used the Veto to save herself, and Dee named Mallory as the replacement nominee.
According to Armstrong and Matt’s RHAP discussion, Mallory has emerged as the likely eviction target. Drew and Barrett knew Dee intended to nominate her, although the full extent of the plan against Mallory was not necessarily clear to everyone beforehand.
Devens remains an influential voice in the plan and has supported sending Mallory out of the game.
Mallory and Melody, meanwhile, have been discussing their frustrations and what the changing house structure could mean for their games. With the eviction approaching, those conversations could become increasingly important if Mallory finds an opening to change the vote.
ParamountLala Makes New Moves After Winning the Veto
Getting off the block gave Lala an opportunity to turn her attention toward rebuilding her position.
Matt highlighted Lala’s social maneuvering as she approached some of the veteran players and explored different paths forward. At the same time, she has raised concerns about allowing Barrett to continue advancing without attracting enough attention.
Her conversations demonstrate how quickly a Veto victory can change a player’s options. Instead of campaigning for survival, Lala can now focus on relationships and potential future targets.
Yash also attempted to generate momentum for a move against the veterans.
According to RHAP, Yash approached Barrett about the benefits of greater unity among the newer players. However, the conversation failed to produce the shift Yash hoped to see.
Drew and Barrett Maintain Their Relationships With Dee and Devens
Despite warnings from other players, Drew and Barrett continue to place significant trust in Dee and Devens.
Armstrong discussed how closely the pair remain attached to the veteran players even as other houseguests encourage them to reconsider their positions. Yash also expressed frustration while trying to convince them that a different path could benefit their games.
Barrett has quietly developed a relationship with Dee, while both he and Drew continue navigating their connection with Devens.
Those relationships could become increasingly significant as the house gets smaller and players have fewer places to hide.
For now, Mallory faces the immediate challenge.
However, concerns about a possible last-minute vote flip remain, meaning Dee and her allies cannot necessarily consider the eviction settled.
With Lala safely off the block, Mallory fighting to remain in the game and Yash pushing for players to reconsider the house hierarchy, the next eviction could determine whether Dee’s HOH strengthens the existing power structure or creates an opening for another major shift.
