‘Big Brother’ Alums Morgan Pope and Tucker Des Lauriers Weigh In on ‘BB28’ Power Players

Big Brother 28” continues to shake up the house, and two former houseguests have plenty to say about the season’s increasingly complicated strategy.

“Big Brother 27” alum Morgan Pope and “Big Brother 26” fan favorite Tucker Des Lauriers joined Tiffany Mitchell, Derek Frazier and Hannah Chaddha on the “Royal Tea” podcast to discuss the latest “BB28” developments. The group tackled everything from Angela Murray’s competition performance to Rick Devens’ Diamond Power of Veto move and Taylor’s position in the game.

Pope admitted that watching “Big Brother” from outside the house for the first time has been a unique experience. She said she remains invested in the season and even keeps an alliance board that she updates as relationships change.

Tucker Des Lauriers Praises Angela Murray’s ‘BB28’ Game

Des Lauriers has a special connection to Angela after competing alongside her on “Big Brother 26,” and that relationship resurfaced during a recent “BB28” competition.

Angela gave Des Lauriers a shoutout after winning the Blockbuster competition, saying she hoped she made him proud. Des Lauriers revealed on “Royal Tea” that Angela previously asked him how he approached a similar competition during their season.

He explained that he advised her to position herself on the fan to stop the airflow and make it easier to collect the balls needed for the challenge.

Des Lauriers also gave his former housemate credit for her overall performance this season.

“I think she’s playing a good game,” he said, noting that Angela continues finding ways to survive when she needs to. He predicted she could have some longevity in the house, although he acknowledged how quickly circumstances can change in “Big Brother.”

Morgan Pope Defends Taylor’s ‘Big Brother 28’ Strategy

The panel also examined Taylor’s game after some houseguests questioned how actively she has been playing.

Pope pushed back against that perception. She argued that Taylor has developed influence with players who regularly seek her opinion, even if people outside her immediate circle do not recognize it.

Pope pointed to Taylor’s relationships with Lala, Yash and Kamu as evidence that she has more influence than some competitors realize. She also suggested Taylor could explain that influence if she reaches the final two and gets an opportunity to make her case to the jury.

Pope added that simply wanting to reach jury does not mean Taylor lacks greater ambitions. She recalled receiving similar criticism during her own season and explained that reaching jury represents a meaningful milestone for players who put their outside lives on hold to compete.

The discussion came as “BB28” entered another major strategic turning point following Devens’ decision to use the Diamond Power of Veto, a move that ultimately placed Kamu on the block.

With former players closely watching the shifting relationships, Pope and Des Lauriers already have competitors they would like to see succeed. Pope said a Mallory or Taylor victory would be fun to watch, while also acknowledging how memorable an Angela win could be. Des Lauriers similarly expressed support for Taylor as the season moves forward.
