“The Voice” coach Snoop Dogg is ready to celebrate some major family news. After months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Snoop’s granddaughter is finally home.
Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Cori Broadus Brought Her Baby Home After 10 Months in the NICU
On January 6, 2026, Snoop’s daughter, Cori Broadus, took to Instagram to share the sweet news. “She’s home,” Broadus wrote.
She continued, “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
The first photo in the Instagram post showed Broadus in bed, snuggled under a fuzzy blanket. A tiny bit of pink could be seen cradled in her arm, and that was her daughter, Codi.
A second photo showed the baby’s bare foot as her mama placed her hand over her daughter. The third addition to the Instagram post was a short video that showed Broadus repeatedly snuggling and kissing her daughter.
The baby’s release from the hospital is huge news for Snoop’s family. As E! News noted, the baby was born in February, born at just 25 weeks of gestation.
In announcing her daughter’s arrival via Instagram at the time, Broadus gushed, “The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed.”
She continued, “God always shows me that He got me! Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!!”
Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Received a Flood of Support After Sharing the Great News
Baby Codi spent about 10 months in the NICU due to how early she was born. Now that she’s home, it’s clear that Broadus is thrilled and grateful.
According to People, Broadus delivered Codi early via a cesarean section because she was developing a condition named HELLP syndrome. HELLP stands for hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet count, notes the Mayo Clinic.
The Mayo Clinic describes HELLP as a “severe form of preeclampsia [that] affects several organ systems.” The syndrome can be life-threatening and can lead to long-term issues for the mother.
Despite Codi’s very early arrival, it seems that mom and baby are doing well now.
Fans and loved ones flooded the comment section of Broadus’ post about Codi’s NICU release. Some pointed out that this was a wonderful way to start the New Year. Others incorporated messages of faith, much like what Broadus did in her caption.
One comment read, “Omg my hearttttttt I’m so happy for you guys.”
Another person wrote, “I just know her nana n popa bout to love all on her.”
A few supporters commented that they had recently been thinking about Broadus and her baby, with some having a hunch she was headed home.
“I’m glad everything worked out and you and your baby look like you’re doing well,” a response read.
