Jasmine Pineda, known for her appearance on TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé,” has revealed that she shaved her head as she grapples with alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss.
The 38-year-old made the bold move this month and her boyfriend, Matt, stood by her side in solidarity.
Pineda shared a carousel of images with Matt on Thursday, October 16, to celebrate his birthday.
She later shared a video where she added the reason behind it and talked about the emotional weight of her decision — and the relief that came with it.
“I have alopecia areata, so I chose to shave my head and take my power back. Healing, free, and at peace. War is over,” the reality TV star wrote.

Pineda continued by stating how surprised she was for her boyfriend to actually support her in this sweet way.
“I was not expecting him to actually do this 😭 but he just wanted to show me that’s just hair and I’m beautiful and loved regardless,” she added.
On the TikTok post, she elaborated on how she has sometimes felt alone with the condition.
“Every flare up can feel heavy, but moments like this remind me I’m not alone. Stress, postpartum changes, and autoimmune challenges may affect my hair, but love like his makes me stronger,” she added.
Pineda and Matt started off as friends, as Pineda was married to Gino Palazzolo. The former couple had one of the franchise’s most talked-about relationships.
The couple, who met online before Pineda moved from Panama to the U.S., have weathered plenty of ups and downs — from jealousy and cultural clashes to heartfelt reconciliations. The two entered into an open marriage during the filming of the spinoff “The Last Resort.”
