One of the most buzzed-about TV series set to arrive this fall is “Line of Fire,” a new crime drama with a “Blue Bloods” vibe set to join NBC’s new fall lineup.
Now, ahead of the upcoming series premiere, a new trailer has just been released to give viewers a taste of what to expect.
First Trailer Unveiled
Law enforcement and family matters combine in this new one-hour drama.
“A family of law enforcement agents bridges personal differences and crosses professional boundaries as they tackle cases for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service and Department of Justice,” states the logline.
“After a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice … even if it means betraying their sworn code.”
New Series for Peter Krause
NBCHeading the cast is Peter Krause, who previously starred in the action series “9-1-1.”
In addition to Krause, the cast also includes Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom, and Charlie Barnett.
The series is created by Joshua Safran, who also serves as executive producer and show runner. Other exec producers are Ben Spector and “Today” host Jenna Bush Hager.
A Big Apple Series
“Line of Fire” is shot in New York City, which is a bonus for Krause, a former New Yorker.
“It’s been fun to be back in New York,” the actor said in a recent interview with E! News.
“I went to NYU years ago, so it’s a nice time for me to be in a different location,” he added.
During that interview, Krause pinpointed the key aspects of his new show that really appealed to him.
“I love the cliffhanger elements of the show as well as all the family issues and the surprising comedy involved,” he explained.
When asked how his new character compares to his previous roles, Krause said, admitting there are shades of his “Parenthood” character in his new role, Mike Hollingsworth.
“I am still discovering some things about Mike Hollingsworth as the scripts come in, but there’s a little bit of Adam Braverman in there,” he shared. “He’s a secret service agent, so he’s also got kind of a hard edge as well.”
Saying Goodbye to ‘9-1-1’
Fans of “9-1-1” were stunned when his character, Station 118 captain Bobby Nash, was killed off in 2025.
“It would come as no surprise to the viewing audience that Bobby chooses to save Chimney and stoically contains himself in the lab. He was willing to sacrifice himself so that others could see another day. And I will miss everybody dearly,” he shared in an interview with “Good Morning America”.
“This was my workplace, for eight years, eight seasons,” he added, reflecting on his long run on the series, singling out co-star Angela Bassett. “And I am really going to miss everybody: Angela and the fire team and the crew.”
He observed, “I won’t have a relationship like that again on TV. It’s been a fantastic eight years. I’m going to miss her a lot.”
When Will ‘Line of Fire’ Premiere?
Look for the new series to debut September 21 on NBC.
