Tony Danza built a decades-long career in Hollywood with roles on TV shows like “Taxi” and “Who’s the Boss?”. As he celebrates his 75th birthday, Danza remains active professionally while reflecting on his life as a father of four.
Danza became a parent at a young age and has since raised one son and three daughters. Over the years, he has spoken openly about how important fatherhood is to him and how proud he is of his children’s accomplishments.
Tony Danza’s Kids Include Son Marc Anthony and Three Daughters
Danza welcomed his first child, Marc Anthony Danza, in 1971 when he was 19 years old. Marc followed in his father’s footsteps into acting at a young age and appeared alongside him on “Taxi” in 1978.
Danza later reflected on his son’s early career, saying, “I was very adamant that he shouldn’t act as a child. I just don’t think it’s the best thing for kids. As I look back at that, I wonder, though, because he was so talented,” he said in a Television Academy interview.
In addition to his son, Danza is also a father to three daughters: Gina Danza, Katherine Danza, and Emily Danza. Gina has kept a low public profile, while Katherine and Emily have pursued careers in different fields.
Speaking about parenthood, Danza told Us Weekly, “There’s an old saying, ‘You’re only as happy as your least happy child.’ And it’s very true.”

Katherine, who also goes by Katie, has built a career as a freelance celebrity makeup artist and beauty consultant. She has worked with well-known names, including Leighton Meester and Rachel Bilson, as well as brands like Puma and Kith.
Before going solo, Katherine worked as a beauty editor and later expanded her work into campaigns and collaborations. She married Adam Greenberg in Los Angeles in December 2023.
Emily, Danza’s youngest daughter, took a different path. She is a professional yoga instructor who began her career in New York before relocating to Los Angeles. She teaches both in-person and through a digital platform. Emily married her husband, CJ, in October 2022.
Danza spoke about his daughter’s wedding, telling Patch, “I was the father of the bride, and I made a speech. I didn’t cry until the end.”

Throughout his career, Danza has emphasized the importance of family. In an interview on “Good Day!”, he explained his approach to parenting.
“Our kids are our legacy and it’s up to us to groom them for a tough life, and they gotta have character and they got to be responsible, and that’s our responsibility,” he said.
He added that he takes pride in who his children have become, sharing, “I’m actually enjoying the gift of the happiness of my children, because they’re hard workers they strive, and that’s what I and everybody who meets me says: ‘Boy, your kids have such good manners. You did something right.’ I feel really good about that. It’s really something.”
