Movie stars and married couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas recently honored their daughter, Carys Douglas, on her 23rd birthday. The couple is also parents to a son, Dylan Douglas, born in 2000. The “Wall Street” actor is also a father to a much older son, Cameron Douglas, whom he welcomed with his former wife, Diandra Luker.
The special birthday tributes proved just how close a bond Carys shares with her famous parents.

Hollywood couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas shared special birthday tributes to their daughter, Carys Douglas, who turned 23 on April 20.
On Instagram, Douglas shared a sweet image of himself and Carys on the red carpet at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala in New York City in October 2025. “Happy Birthday Carys! May YOUR new year bring you joy and inspiration. All the love in the world! @carys.douglas ♥️ Dad,” his caption read.
In the comment section, his daughter wrote, “Thank you Dadda ❤️ I love you so so much.”
Zeta-Jones also made sure to celebrate her daughter’s milestone birthday with a heartfelt tribute. The “Chicago” star shared a series of photos capturing special moments over the years, from Carys as a young girl, to a sweet snapshot of Zeta-Jones holding her as a toddler, and a more recent image of the women together.

“Thank you my dear Mamma I love you so ❤️,” Carys wrote in the comments.
In fact, the family appears to be incredibly close with Carys’ younger brother, Dylan, also sharing an incredibly touching post to honor her 23rd birthday. Sharing photos of the pair as young kids, his caption read, “23 years ago today I got a built in best friend. What a privilege it’s been to see you grow into such an amazing woman. Happy birthday @carys.douglas I love you.”
Carys Is Following In Her Parent’s Footsteps
GettyAccording to People, Carys graduated from Brown University in 2025 with a degree in Film and International Relations. Speaking to the outlet at the 2025 PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala in October 2025, which she attended with her father, she opened up about her passions for the arts and plans to pursue an entertainment career.
“I grew up doing theater, and I didn’t study acting in school, but that’s why I’m happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that,” she shared.
Carys has already shown her acting chops, starring in the 2024 short film “[Expletive] That Guy,” featuring “You” star Victoria Pedretti. The young and upcoming actress also starred in the 2025 short film “Shell,” playing the lead role of Aria Weathers.
A synopsis for the film reads, “Plagued by writer’s block, Aria Weathers turns to an innovative program designed to extract creative content from her dreams. Inside of the program, Aria forges a partnership with fellow writer Hannah, and they begin to draft a new novel. Outside of the program, Aria remembers nothing of her dreams–until she resolves to find out what is happening inside her mind.”
