When “America’s Got Talent” host Terry Crews reveals the season 20 finale voting results tonight, one of the Top 10 acts will be named the winner.
These contestants gave it their all during their final performances on the September 23 live show. “AGT” fans want to know: what are they all vying to win besides bragging rights and lots of publicity?
‘America’s Got Talent’ Grand Prize Includes Big Money & Headlining Show
The “America’s Got Talent” season 20 winner will receive a lucrative prize package, according to TV Insider. This prize package includes $1 million and a chance to headline a show in Las Vegas.
While the prize for winning “AGT” is $1 million, the winners don’t actually pocket that much money. In fact, it works out to be a lot less, depending on what option they choose.
TV Insider states that NBC runs a disclaimer at the end of each episode, which states, “The prize, which totals $1,000,000, is payable in a financial annuity over 40 years, or the contestant may choose to receive the present cash value of such annuity.”
Based on that information, the $1 million prize divided by 40 years means the winner would be $25,000 a year before taxes.
However, if the winner of “America’s Got Talent” 2025 wants to receive all of the money at one time, they can choose to do so. Forbes stated that after interest rates are taken into account, the estimated lump sum amount would be about $300,000 before taxes.
In addition to the prize money, the winner of each season of “AGT” gets to headline a multiple-night “AGT Live” event in Las Vegas. The special live show also includes other past performers from “America’s Got Talent.”

Richard Goodall shocked many “America’s Got Talent” fans when the school janitor sang. His amazing voice won over the hearts of millions, and it led him to being named the season 19 winner of “AGT.”
Now, a year later, he is back at home in Indiana, still working as a janitor. He has been booking more and more performances since winning the show, but the majority have been local, TV Insider reported.
Goodall recently released his first single on all streaming platforms. In the caption of the social media post, he said, “Don’t give up everybody, just keep doing what you’re doing!! My single, Long Time Coming, is now released on all streaming platforms. Hope it inspires you to fight on💪.”
The season 19 winner will also be back on the “AGT” stage tonight. He is one of the guest performers during the Finale Results show tonight on NBC.
