The “American Idol” season 24 finale airs tonight on ABC. There is no big, two-night event planned for this season’s finale. The Top 3 on “American Idol” 2026 will take the stage tonight for the grand finale, as they perform one more night to earn your live votes. By the end of the night, the winner of “American Idol” season 24 will be crowned.

‘American Idol’ Top 3 Final Performances
The “American Idol” season 24 finale airs on Monday, May 11, 2026. Since this is the ending, ABC has decided to supersize things for the Grand Finale. We will have three hours of performances, as the Top 3 perform for your votes one more time.
Things will kick off at 8/7c on ABC tonight. America has been voting live for these artists every week. It all boiled down to last week’s show, where the Top 5 became the Top 3, and the finalists were determined.
For tonight’s finale, we will see the Top 3 head to their hometowns for Hometown Visits. The Top 3 had a chance to visit their hometown this past week, and the full segments will air during tonight’s finale.
This is a tradition on “American Idol,” so it will be nice to see what takes place for these finalists.
The Top 3 will also be singing duets during tonight’s finale. Hannah was brought to tears when she found out that she would be performing with Lee Ann Womack during tonight’s finale.
We also saw Jordan get very emotional when he found out that he would not only be singing with his former roommate, Daniel Stallworth, but the duo would be singing with none other than Tori Kelly. Those same emotions came out for Keyla, as she was told she would be performing with Jason Mraz during tonight’s show.
‘American Idol’ Finale Guest Stars
While tonight will be all about the Top 3 and America having one last chance to vote for their favorite, it will also be a night of some amazing guest stars. The biggest star of the night will be Alicia Keys, who will be serving as a guest mentor and judge for tonight’s finale. She will also be taking the stage to perform during the Idol Finale.
Then we have a lineup of big names and stars taking the stage. Those guest stars include:

- Cameron Whitcomb
- Clay Aiken
- En Vogue
- Mötley Crüe
- Nelly
- Shinedown
The musical guests usually hit the stage with some of the previously eliminated singers. We do know that Clay Aiken is returning to the show, and he’ll be performing with Top 5 singer Braden Rumfelt.
It’s going to be a jam-packed night of performances. America will be voting for their favorite singer during this all, and as the three hours start to wind down, the winner of “American Idol” 2026 will be announced.
