“American Idol” season 24 finalist Jordan McCullough is heading into the biggest performance night of his life. As he prepares for the night, he gets the news of who he’ll be performing with during the “American Idol” finale, and he can’t even believe who he’ll be sharing the stage with.
In a new Instagram post ahead of the live Season 24 finale, the fan-favorite singer reacted with total shock and gratitude after learning which major celebrity artist he’ll be performing alongside during the star-studded “American Idol” 2026 finale event airing Monday night.
Jordan McCullough Shares Emotional Reaction
The excitement is building as we get closer to the live finale of “American Idol.” In anticipation of that, he gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at his experience.
In the Instagram post, the Top 3 finalist admitted that the announcement of the finale trio still doesn’t feel real to him.
In the video, Jordan is told about the people he will be sharing the stage with during the finale. Not only will he get a big-name celebrity to sing with, but he will also have another person performing with him.
The first is Daniel Stallworth, a fellow Season 24 contestant, and his roommate while on the show. The two men will be joined by Tori Kelly, who happens to be an idol of Jordan’s.
When told the news, he said he and Daniel were going to “tear it up.” He was then told they would be performing with Tori Kelly, who was on “American Idol” before.
He thought the person was lying at first, but then, when it hit, the emotions hit. He said it was so cool as the tears started to come.
Jordan went on to say that he was so excited to share the stage with Tori, commenting that he watches everything that she does. He has said he wants to be like her when this is all done, so now he gets to perform with her!

After sharing the post online, Tori Kelly jumped in the comments to share her love also. She wrote, “stop you’re gonna make me cry!!!🥹can’t wait!”

Huge Night Awaits the Top 3
Jordan secured his place in the finale during Monday’s live episode. He survived the cut from the Top 5 to the Top 3. Hannah Harper and Keyla Richardson also advanced.
It’s going to be a huge night, as ABC has already announced the star-studded lineup for the live finale. This lineup includes the finale guest mentor and judge Alicia Keys, Clay Aiken, Jason Mraz, Nelly, Lee Ann Womack, and many more.
We will also see judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie all take the stage to perform.
The live “American Idol” Season 24 finale airs Monday, May 11, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
