Included in the finale guest list are Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms, Cameron Whitcomb, Clay Aiken, En Vogue, Jason Mraz, Lee Ann Womack, Mötley Crue, Nelly, Shinedown and Tori Kelly.

Former Idol contestants who will be rejoining the show to perform include Aiken, who placed second to Ruben Studdard on season 2 of “American Idol” in 2003, and Kelly, who was on season 9 of the hit competition show.

Kelly was cut before the top 24 were voted on by America. The songstress was 16 years old at the time of her audition in 2010. Sixteen years later, she has already won three Grammy awards.

In 2019, Kelly took home two Grammy Awards: Best Gospel Performance/Song for the song “Never Alone” and Best Gospel Album for “Hiding Place.” In 2025, Kelly won the Grammy for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella. She has six Grammy nominations in total, the Grammy Awards reported.

‘American Idol’ Season 24 Top 3 Finalists

Contestants Braden Rumfelt and Chris Tungseth were eliminated from the final five, leaving three hungry artists to compete in the season’s final episode to see who America will vote on to win.

Competing in the “American Idol” season 24 finale will be Keyla Richardson, Jordan McCullough, and Hannah Harper.

According to TV Insider, Hannah Harper is expected to take home the win. The outlet based their prediction off of Harper leading the group on views from fans who have watched her “American Idol” performances on the show’s official YouTube.

During her audition in Nashville, judge Carrie Underwood called it early that she would be a standout in the competition after she performed her original song “String Cheese,” inspired by her experience with postpartum depression. Her tune went completely viral, charting on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales before the season even ended, Deseret News reported.

Keyla Richardson is predicted to place second overall. Richardson has been a standout since day one. With her unbreakable mother-son bond with 9-year-old son Drew, the Pensacola, Florida, native struck the heartstrings in viewers across the globe.

Frontrunner Jordan McCullough has impressed the “Idol” judges week after week with his soulful performances. During Monday night’s episode ahead of the season finale, Luke Bryan told McCullough that he is one of the “best” singers he has ever seen on “American Idol.”

The season finale will be a three-hour episode aired on ABC on Monday, May 11, at 8/7c. As the “Idol” tradition would have it, the top three finalists will each perform a “Hometown Tribute” and their “Winner’s Single.”
