The former “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are fueling romance speculation following a string of flirty interviews promoting their upcoming Netflix rom-com, “Office Romance.”
The pair, who star opposite each other in the highly anticipated film, had fans buzzing after appearing especially comfortable together at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday, May 26.
The Two Continue to Gush About Each Other
The event, held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, saw Lopez, 56, and Goldstein, 45, walking the red carpet side-by-side while sharing playful exchanges that only added to ongoing dating rumors.
The speculation comes after the stars repeatedly praised each other during interviews — particularly when the topic turned to their onscreen chemistry.
At the premiere, Goldstein didn’t hesitate when asked by Entertainment Tonight to rate Lopez’s kissing skills after filming romantic scenes together.
“The best,” the “Ted Lasso” star said, even reportedly ranking her “12 out of 10.”
Lopez couldn’t help but laugh at the compliment.
“Well, what is he going to say in front of me,” she joked, smiling beside her co-star.
Goldstein later admitted the praise Lopez had previously given him felt surprisingly meaningful.
“It felt better than winning an Emmy,” he said after hearing that Lopez once called him one of her favorite onscreen kissers.
The singer and actress had first made headlines for her comments during an October 2025 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” where she openly gushed about filming with Goldstein.
“I’m gonna say I just did a movie with Brett Goldstein, and I would say he was the best kisser,” Lopez said at the time.
Now, Goldstein is revealing the admiration may have gone both ways long before cameras started rolling.
Lopez Didn’t Believe Goldstein Was a Fan at First
Speaking with E! News at the premiere, Lopez admitted she initially wasn’t sure whether Goldstein’s longtime praise for her was genuine.
“I heard he was a fan and he’s said some things in public about being a fan and so I was like, ‘Oh, yeah,’” Lopez said. “But when people say they’re a fan sometimes it’s just like, I don’t know, sometimes it’s bulls–t. But it wasn’t.”
Goldstein quickly proved he knew plenty about Lopez’s decades-long career.
“I’m a f–king movie guy,” he said. “I love movies and I’ve seen all her movies.”
He jokingly added that he also appreciated her music and even her “podcast appearances,” before teasing, “Yeah, your watercolor stuff is exceptional.”
According to Goldstein, his admiration for Lopez actually played a major role in “Office Romance” coming together in the first place.
“So it was me and Joe Kelly [who] wrote it and we were on a train,” he explained. “We were making Ted Lasso. We were on a train from Manchester to London and we wanted to do something together.”
“What did we want to do? We wanted to make an old school rom-com,” he continued. “And we were like, ‘Who’s the best rom-com actor?’ And it was like J.Lo. And that was it, that was why. We wanted to make the best J.Lo rom-com.”
Lopez admitted hearing that the role had been written specifically for her caught her off guard.
“I was really surprised because I was like, ‘Oh!’ I don’t get where people like write something for you specifically,” she said. “Like, they’ll write something and then be like ‘OK, she’d be great for that.’ But to write it specifically with you in mind is a whole different thing and it was very flattering.”
While neither has addressed the romance rumors directly, their chemistry on the press circuit is certainly keeping fans talking.
