Luke Bryan Goes All Out to Bring Music to America’s Farmers

Luke Bryan has just two rescheduled stops left on his “Country Song Came On” Tour before wrapping up the summer-long extravaganza.

The tour, originally set to wrap September 6 in Biloxi, Mississippi, added the stops in Lafayette, Louisiana and Dallas, Texas after the American Idol judge was forced to cancel shows over the summer during a bout of COVID.

But when he plays that last note in Dallas, Luke won’t be getting much of a break.

Instead, six days later, he’ll be turning his attention to his passion project, bringing music to America’s farmers.

Luke is circling back for the second leg of his annual “Farm Tour,” where the singer brings a massive crew to set up a concert venue right in the middle of rural farmland.

September 18, Luke will transform Klondike Farms in Brooklyn, Wisconsin into his very own music festival.

Luke Bryan Added California to ‘Farm Tour’ This Year

The September dates for “Farm Tour” are actually round two this year.

For the first time ever, Luke extended his tour to the West Coast, playing three dates in California last May.

It took 16 years for the tour to make it to the Golden State. But Luke Bryan says it’s been a long-time goal to bring the tour to California farms.

“With the farm tour being such a unique type of show in rural towns we have to be really intentional on where we go in order to have the best experience for the fans all while lifting up the farming community and what they do for our country,” said Luke on his website. “I have always wanted to raise awareness for the west coast farmer and I’m so excited to get to do that this year.”

In a video Luke Bryan posted on his Instagram account, the singer says, “I wanted to change things up and come to California because I think California gets forgotten in how important they are. I just want to make sure that California farmers know that me being a Georgia boy loves them and remembers them and we appreciate them.”

Staging ‘Farm Tour’ Is a Massive Effort

Luke Bryan’s upcoming three shows in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan will take a massive effort to pull off.

Luke  posted a revealing video on Instagram of just exactly what it takes to stage a major concert in the middle of small-town America’s rural farmland.

In the behind-the-scenes video, Luke explained, “Farm Tour started back in 2009, setting up stages right in the fields of small town America. It was always about more than music, it’s about coming home, giving back and honoring the hard-working families who keep us fed.”

“Every Farm Tour show feels like its own small village… a community gathering filled with excitement, friends, family and folks coming together to celebrate music and each other,” he went on.

The approximately two-minute long video’s time-lapse sequences of the elaborate set-up involves cranes, tractors and a large crew.

But for Luke Bryan, it’s all well-worth the effort.

“For these towns, it’s a chance to experience something special that doesn’t come around often,” Bryan said.

‘Farm Tour’ Brings More Than Music

For Luke Bryan, “Farm Tour” isn’t just about appreciation. It’s also about giving back.

Luke awards college scholarships to future farmers and helps provide 10 million meals through partner, Feeding America.

This fall’s tour stops are:

Sept. 18 — Brooklyn, Wisc. @ Klondike Farms
Sept. 19 — Prairie Grove, Ill. @ Berning Family Farms
Sept. 20 — Lansing, Mich. @ Kubiak Farm

After that, the “Strip It Down” singer will get a few months off from performing. Then Luke is returning to Mexico for his 11th annual “Crash My Playa Music Festival” in January.
