Simon Cowell Banned From Doing His ‘Most Annoying Habit’ on Set, But He Totally Owns It

Simon Cowell was reportedly hit with a chewing gum ban on the set of “Britain’s Got Talent” after leaving his used gum under his desk.

Cowell, 66, is a staple on the show and fans love him, so he’s going to lose the gum chewing. Hey, we all have our habits, right?

A source told The Sun that producers on the hit talent show discovered leftovers under the judge’s table after Simon had filmed the auditions.

Simon Cowell Admits to His ‘Most Annoying Habit’

Previously, Cowell was said to have had a wad of chewing gum stuck to his black trousers during filming. Hey, we’ve all had an embarrassing moment in the workplace.

“He didn’t have a clue he had gum stuck to his trousers as he walked out on stage in front of thousands of fans,” the source added.

In the past, Cowell admitted that his “most annoying habit” is chewing a special £5 gum called CB12, which promises to eliminate bad breath. So, at least Cowell owns it.

“I chew gum really loudly, and it drives everyone mad,” the former “American Idol” judge told The Sun. “It’s a chewing gum called CB12. It really irritates everyone.”

No More ‘Mr. Soft’ for Simon Cowell

Meanwhile, Cowell’s fellow “Britain’s Got Talent” judge Amanda Holden teased what viewers can expect to see on the show, particularly with the music manager.

“Simon is back. He’s been ‘Mr. Soft’ in recent years, and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that KSI is so honest on the other end of the panel,” Holden told The Daily Mail. “He’s not honest in a bad way, just very to the point, and he doesn’t sugarcoat anything.”

Holden added, “We’ve got the old Simon back, and his one-liners are better than ever and I’m loving that!”

Meanwhile, Cowell teased that viewers will get to see a more personal side to the judging panel, which will definitely be exciting for his fans.

“A bit, yeah! You can expect to see things you’ve never seen from us,” the “America’s Got Talent” judge added. “But I think it’s more aimed at the contestants, the crew, the people who work on the show, because it is an army, and I think people are interested at home, personally, about things like how we set up an act between auditions, the stuff that we see in the theatre.”
