The official website for the series has just released preview images of season 3 episode 9 (also known as episode 56.) These include more glimpses of the newest character that everyone can’t stop talking about: Higuruma.

The episode (which will also be listed as Episode 56 on Crunchyroll) will continue Yuji’s first encounter with Higuruma, one of the strongest sorcerers in the Culling Game.
At the end of last week’s episode, Yuji was getting ready to fight Higuruma when the lawyer refused to hand over his 100 points to help them create a loophole that let’s players leave the game. He said he wanted to watch how the system strips players of their technique (and is interested in seeing “physics” dispense justice, likely without the corruption he saw so frequently as a defense attorney.)
On the official website, the episode summary (translated by Google from Japanese) reads: “When Itadori meets Hisha, he asks him to cooperate in putting an end to the Annihilation Tour. However, Hisha, who sees potential in the Annihilation Tour, refuses and activates Domain Expansion. Then, the Shikigami ‘Judgeman’ appears and begins the trial of Itadori. ‘Remain silent,’ ‘Confess,’ or ‘Deny.’ Itadori is given three options in response to the charges imposed upon him.”
