“Jujutsu Kaisen” fans have some bad news in their futures.
Today, on February 12, season 3 episode 7 will air as expected, except for a possible small delay of just a few minutes. But the next episode — episode 55 — will be delayed by an entire week. Here’s a look at the full “Jujutsu Kaisen” schedule for the rest of the season.
Episode 55 (Season 3 Episode 8) of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Will Not Air Next Week
Next week on February 19, we won’t have a new episode of “Jujutsu Kaisen.”
According to the anime’s official website, a “sideshow” is airing on February 19 instead of a new episode. This will contain a recap of what we’ve watched in “The Culling Game Part 1” so far, with some re-edited footage. According to the website, there may also be some new narration. But it will not be a new episode.
This is actually fairly common during anime cour seasons. Often there’s a break in the middle of the season for a week before new episodes resume.
This special episode will not air at the normal time that new episodes premiere. Instead, it will air in Japan a couple hours later at 2 a.m. JST rather than 12:26 a.m. JST. We don’t yet know if it will also be streamed on Crunchyroll.
The Full Schedule for the Rest of the Season
Below you’ll find the full schedule for the rest of the season, according to the anime’s official website.
- JJK Special Sideshow: February 19 (no new episode)
- Episode 8: February 26 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 9: March 5 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 10: March 12 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 11: March 19 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 12: March 26 at 9 a.m. Pacific
The anime does note that broadcast times are subject to change without notice.
According to the official website, cour 1 of season 3 will have 12 episodes, with the final episode airing on March 26. We are expecting there will also be a second cour for The Culling Game part 2, but we don’t yet know when it will air.
Crunchyroll is also airing the “Jujutsu Kaisen” English dub episodes, which are two weeks behind the subs. The dubs will likely have a one week delay as well in March, since they have thus far been following the same schedule as the subs.
(Note: If you’re interested in revisiting the rules to The Culling Game in full, we have them listed in a special article here, as they were presented in the manga. This does not include the rule that was just added at the end of last week’s episode.)
