‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 3 Episode 12: Schedule Change Announced for Finale

The latest episode of “Jujutsu Kaisen” season 3 was phenomenal, but when is the finale airing? We’ve got all the details below, including a small schedule change update.

The Final Episode of Cour 1 Will Be Longer

Shortly after season 3 episode 11 aired, it was announced that the finale of cour 1 is going to be an extended episode.

The announcement came from the anime’s official website. Episode 59 (which is also season 3 episode 12) will be a special extended episode.

The finale will be 27 minutes long.

And while fans are excited about this news, earlier rumors had pointed to a possible hour-long episode. So the finale isn’t going to be as long as we’d hoped.

Based on the ending of episode 11, the finale is going to focus on Yuta’s fight in the Sendai Colony. And with Yuta being one of the strongest sorcerers to currently live, it will no doubt be an epic ending.

The Finale Airs on March 26

The finale will follow the same lineup as the rest of this season. According to the official anime’s website, it’s airing at the same time as previous episodes in Japan, so the schedule in the U.S. for the sub release will remain the same as well.

It will drop on Crunchyroll on Thursday, March 26, at 12 p.m. Central/11 a.m. Mountain/10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern time.

The episode is simply called “Sendai Colony.” This title (as opposed to the previous titles of “Tokyo Colony No. 1 — Part 1, 2, 3, etc.) had hinted to fans early on that the episode would likely be at least a bit longer than normal.

This won’t be the end of The Culling Game storyline, however. A second cour will air on Crunchyroll, but it’s looking more and more like it won’t be until January 2027 at the earliest. However, this is just speculation. Neither Crunchyroll nor MAPPA have shared exactly when to expect the show to return. All we know is that the hiatus will be tough to wade through.

So far, season 3 has been phenomenal. Check out our reviews of some of the peak episodes below:

This has probably been the best season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” yet. And some of the episodes this season (especially episode 9’s epic Higurama vs Yuji battle) could rival for the best episodes of the entire sries.
