Re:ZERO Season 4 Gets Same-Day English Dub on Crunchyroll With Chainsaw Man Star Joining the Cast

Dub fans will not have to wait a single day. Re:ZERO — Starting Life in Another World — has returned with its most anticipated season yet, and English dub viewers are experiencing it at the same moment as the rest of the world.

Crunchyroll officially confirmed a same-day Simuldub for Season 4 alongside the Japanese broadcast on April 8, 2026. As Re:ZERO steps into one of its most punishing arcs yet, this announcement carries real weight for a fanbase that has historically been spoiled by weeks-long dub delays.

Re:ZERO Season 4 Launches with a Same-Day English Dub and Full Returning Cast

The Season 4 English dub is directed by Chris Hackney. The core cast returns intact. Yusuke Kobayashi voices Subaru Natsuki, Rie Takahashi returns as Emilia, and Inori Minase is back as Rem — whose recovery from the Authority of Gluttony is the emotional engine driving the entire season. Studio White Fox and director Masahiro Shinohara also return behind the camera, keeping the visual and tonal identity of the franchise firmly in place.

A major new voice joins the cast this season. Fairouz Ai — celebrated internationally as the voice of Power in Chainsaw Man and Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean — steps in as Shaula, the sage at the top of the Pleiades Watchtower. Her casting is a statement. Shaula is one of the most pivotal new characters in the series’ run, and Fairouz Ai brings the kind of magnetic energy the role demands.

Season 4 Structure, Story Setup, and What to Expect

Re:ZERO Season 4 runs 19 episodes across two split cours. The Loss Arc covers 11 episodes beginning April 8. The Recapture Arc follows on August 12, 2026, with its remaining 8 episodes. The season picks up directly after the devastating events in Priestella, where the Witch Cult left Rem in an unending sleep, Crusch Karsten without her memories, and Julius Juukulius without his name. Subaru and his allies now head toward the Pleiades Watchtower in the Augria Sand Dunes — a fortress that even Reinhard van Astrea, the Sword Saint, could not conquer.

The music lineup is equally compelling. Konomi Suzuki and Ashnikko collaborate on the opening theme “Reconnect,” produced by Giga and Teddyloid. The pairing is unexpected and deliberate. MYTH & ROID returns for the ending theme “Ender Ember,” featuring TK from Ling Tosite Sigure — both of whom carry deep history with the franchise. All episodes, subbed and dubbed, stream on Crunchyroll as part of a stacked Spring 2026 anime season.

5 Things Re:ZERO Dub Fans Should Know Before Watching Season 4

  • The Season 4 same-day Simuldub marks the first time in the franchise’s history that English dub viewers experience Re:ZERO simultaneously with Japan — in previous seasons, dub delays ranged from weeks to months, routinely leaving fans exposed to major spoilers
  • Fairouz Ai, who voices new character Shaula, has built a reputation for commanding performances in major franchise anime — her performances as Power in Chainsaw Man and Jolyne Cujoh in Stone Ocean each earned her international recognition among English and Japanese audiences alike
  • Dub director Chris Hackney is himself a prolific anime voice actor, known for roles including Dimitri in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Joker in Black Clover, bringing an actor’s instinct to the directing chair
  • The opening theme “Reconnect” marks the first time a Western hip-hop artist has featured on a Re:ZERO theme — Konomi Suzuki has performed every single opening across all four seasons, a consistency almost unheard of in long-running anime
  • All three previous seasons, both OVAs, and the Director’s Cut of Season 1 are currently available on Crunchyroll for anyone who wants to catch up before diving into Season 4
