If you were looking forward to “Jujutsu Kaisen” Thursdays this week, we have some unfortunate news for you. A new episode isn’t airing today on February 19, but the episodes will resume their normal schedule next week. Check out all the details about the full schedule and what’s happening below.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Is Taking a Break This Week & Will Air a Compilation Episode Instead
“Jujtusu Kaisen” is taking a break and will not air a new episode today on February 19. This isn’t entirely unusual for popular anime. They’ll often take a one week break in the middle of a new cour.
According to the anime’s official website, a “sideshow” is airing today. It will include a recap of important parts of “The Culling Game Part 1,” likely with some re-edited footage and some new narration. But this is just a recap and will not be a new episode.
It’s possible the recap won’t even air on Crunchyroll, even though it will air in Japan. It’s releasing a couple of hours later than normal, at 2 a.m. JST instead of the normal 12:26 a.m. JST premiere time.
The Next New Episode Airs on February 26
This means that the next new episode — Episode 55 — won’t air until next week. Season 3 Episode 8 premieres on Thursday, February 26 at 9 a.m. Pacific. After that, the second half of the cour will follow the regular Thursday weekly schedule.
Here’s the full schedule for the rest of the season, according to the anime’s official website:
- JJK Special Sideshow: February 19 (no new episode)
- Episode 8: February 26 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 9: March 5 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 10: March 12 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 11: March 19 at 9 a.m. Pacific
- Episode 12: March 26 at 9 a.m. Pacific
Cour 1 contains a total of 12 episodes.
