Tonight is a huge night for “Big Brother” as the show celebrates its 1,000th episode while another HouseGuest fights to stay in the game.
Dee is the current Head of Household after winning the competition earlier this week. She nominated Drew, LaLa (LaTrice), and Taylor, but LaLa won the Power of Veto and used it to save herself. Dee then named Mallory as the replacement nominee.
That leaves Drew, Taylor, and Mallory heading into tonight’s BB Blockbuster, where one of them will earn safety before the live vote.
And, of course, the historic milestone is being celebrated throughout tonight’s episode, with former Houseguests joining in on the fun and a special twist in store for the current cast.
Yep, it’s a pretty wild night to have an eviction, and let’s be real, the 1,000th episode celebration could make tonight feel very different from a typical Thursday.
The Throwback to End All Throwbacks
The episode began with Julie welcoming everyone to this historic episode, before taking viewers all the way back to the year 2000 with the BB Time Machine. Yeah, we’re talking when “Big Brother” first began. Epic moments from every season were shown in order, taking fans on one seriously nostalgic trip through the show’s history.
There were comp wins (and losses), crazy reactions, Julie’s catch phrases, blind-sides, showmances and so much more. Honestly, seeing some of the biggest moments from across all 28 seasons back-to-back was one crazy ride.
Julie even zings herself like Zingbot, by joking that at least her Season 1 hair didn’t stick around.
‘Big Brother’ Celebrates 1,000 Episodes

The show also officially earned two Guinness World Records for Most Episodes of a Reality Competition Show and Most Episodes of a Primetime TV Series.
What Happened During BB 28’s Week 7?
ParamountThere has already been plenty of drama inside the “Big Brother” house following the Veto Ceremony, and some of the conversations happening on the live feeds could become important during tonight’s episode.
Taylor went looking for answers about why Dee nominated her in the first place. She questioned Dee and Angela about the decision and later continued trying to figure out whether other Houseguests had been spreading information about her.
Since LaLa used the POV to save herself, she left Dee with the difficult decision of naming a replacement nominee. By choosing Mallory, she put another member of the Mosh Pit alliance in danger alongside Drew.
Barrett is angry that two members of their new “super alliance” have now been nominated just a week after it being formed. Mallory takes her anger at being nominated out on an innocent pillow before blaming Dee for everything while in the Diary Room. She also says, “I feel really dumb…” Barrett tries to get Devens to commiserate, but he doesn’t seem to agree.
There’s also been plenty of uncertainty about whether Mallory is actually the target this week. Yash, meanwhile, has largely stayed out of the immediate danger after making a deal with Dee involving her BB Bribe.
Honestly, there are a lot of moving pieces heading into the eviction, and it seems like tonight’s BB Blockbuster could determine which version of the reality TV icon’s plan actually comes to life.
Who Won the ‘BB Blockbuster’ Comp?
Before the live vote, the three nominees will compete in this week’s BB Blockbuster for one final chance at safety.
And once again, Julie Chen Moonves previewed the competition in a joint post with the official “Big Brother” Instagram account. She was joined by Derrick Levasseur (BB16) and Taylor Hale (BB24), two of the hosts of “Big Brother: Unlocked.”
They captioned the post:
“Here’s a sneak peek of tonight’s BB Block Buster with the help of two iconic BB alums. Who do you hope wins and saves themselves from eviction? It’s the 1000th episode of Biiiiiiiiggg Brother!! 🤗🤗 #BB28”
The nominees will compete in “BB Grand Cliptacular,” where they have to run around a wall to a hidden area to read three clues. Each clue will appear on-screen for only 30 seconds. Then, they must run back to their buzzer stand, where another larger screen is divided into sections (A, B, and C). Each section will feature tiny boxes of things that have happened on “Big Brother” over the years. They must find which section has the correct box that fits all three clues and lock in their answer.
This one is definitely going to test the nominees’ memory and speed. And, let’s be real, with only 30 seconds to see each clue, one missed detail could make all the difference.

The BB 28 Houseguests Cast Their Week 7 Votes
ParamountWith the BB Blockbuster out of the way, Taylor and Mallory are now hoping they did enough to avoid eviction.
The two nominees cannot vote. And with 11 Houseguests remaining in the game, that means it will take 5 votes to evict. Or in the event of a tie (with 4 votes to each nominee), Head of Household, Dee, will cast the final vote.

Who Was Evicted From ‘Big Brother’ Season 28 Tonight?

Mallory was evicted from “Big Brother” Season 28 by a vote of 6 to 2.
After saying goodbye to her fellow Houseguests and meeting Julie, Mallory was asked who she thought voted to keep her, and she correctly named Barrett and Melody. She was also asked how she felt about Drew voting against her, but Mallory said she expected it because he was trying to stay aligned with the Icons.
Julie also wanted to know about Mallory’s decision to throw the HOH competition. Mallory admitted she did it “a little bit,” explaining that she “got nervous at the end” and “slowed down a little.” Looking back, she admitted that she probably should have tried to win the competition instead. Let’s be real, if she had won, she likely wouldn’t have been evicted.
As for her final thoughts on her time in the “Big Brother” house, Mallory kept things positive. She said, “this summer was awesome,” and added that she “had a great time.”
BB 28 Gets a Special New Twist
Tonight’s episode isn’t just another eviction night. “Big Brother” is officially celebrating its 1,000th episode, and the show has a special surprise planned for the Houseguests.
Julie revealed that the Houseguests are about to take a very unexpected trip through time. On Sunday’s special episode, airing at 9:00pm ET, the cast will be transported all the way back to medieval times in the year 1,000.
And this won’t be a normal week in the “Big Brother” house. There will be no HOH, no Power of Veto, and no BB Blockbuster, but Julie teased that by the end of the night, someone’s game will still be over.
Honestly, it sounds like the show is throwing the usual rules out the window for this special time-traveling episode, and it seems like fans will have to wait until Sunday to find out exactly how the new setup works.
But a preview did show past contestants Keanu Soto (BB27), Britney Haynes (BB12 & BB14), Tiffany Mitchell (BB23), and Cody Calafiore (BB16 & BB22) all dressed up in medieval garb.
Julie also revealed that the live feeds will be down for the next three days. Yep, they won’t return until after Sunday night’s episode airs.
It seems like “Big Brother” isn’t just looking backward tonight; this twist will have a huge impact on the game moving forward.
