‘Big Brother’ Alum Gets Unexpected Reply From TV Icon Lee Majors

A former “Big Brother” fan favorite just had a moment years in the making.

Lee Majors, the TV icon behind “The Six Million Dollar Man,” recently shared an Instagram post honoring astronaut Victor Glover and NASA’s Artemis II mission to the moon. He reflected on his time portraying an astronaut on television in the aforementioned series that aired from 1973 to 1978.

“From playing an astronaut on TV…Respect to Victor Glover pilot of Artemis II and becoming the first Black astronaut to travel to the Moon. Wishing you a safe mission and Godspeed as you continue to inspire. 🚀✨,” Majors wrote on April 2.

In the comments, “Big Brother” season 6 and 7 houseguest Howie Gordon popped in with something longtime followers would instantly recognize: a string of heart-eye emojis.

The “Big Brother” All-Star also shared a message of admiration for the Hollywood Walk of Fame star-holder:

“The Greatest Actor, playing the Greatest Character on the Greatest show of all time. Steve Austin will be that man 👏👏👏😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻,” he wrote.

Majors saw it and replied.

“Thank you brother!” he said.

Those three words is all it took for Gordon to share his starstruck encounter with one of his favorite actors of all time. He posted about it on Instagram alongside screenshots of the encounter.

“The Iconic Celebrity Legendary Actor Mr. Lee Majors took time to thank me for liking his post. My most electrifying and unforgettable moment since Social Media started,” he said.

Majors, now in his mid-80s, became a household name in the 1970s with his role as Steve Austin in “The Six Million Dollar Man,” a sci-fi series centered on a former astronaut rebuilt with bionic technology.

The role and the show left a lasting impression on viewers, especially Gordon, who calls it his “favorite show of all time.”

For the former “Big Brother” houseguest, the Bigfoot episode stood out. He said it inspired a hobby of his: “Bigfooting,” which involves searching for the mythical creature. Gordon even lists “Bigfoot Enthusiast” in his Instagram bio.

According to a 2020 interview with Canadian network Global TV, Gordon said his interest in “Bigfooting” dates back to 2009.

““I go into the Pacific Northwest every year and search for Bigfoot evidence,” he said. “I have seen him twice and have had numerous encounters.”

Gordon’s Instagram post reflecting on the “unforgettable” moment turned into a wholesome moment with the “Big Brother” star’s fans.

“So cool to see u getting star struck while we’re over here star struck over you,” one user wrote.

“Howie, this is how I’ve felt when you replied to my comments ❤️,” said another.

“Dude I feel this way when you interact with me on here! You’re just as much of a LEGEND & that will never change 🌟,” another user said.

Gordon first appeared on “Big Brother” 6 in 2005, finishing fifth as part of the Sovereign Six alliance. He later returned for “Big Brother: All-Stars,” where he placed eighth. Throughout both seasons, he was known for his alliance and close friendship with Janelle Pierzina.

Today, he works as the chief meteorologist at Action News Now in Chico, California.
