Andy Cohen delivered major updates across the Housewives universe during multiple BravoCon 2025 panels, teasing new seasons, long-awaited cast decisions, and even unveiling a brand-new franchise.
Andy Cohen Talks RHONJ, RHONY, and RHOA Casting Decisions
During a candid sit-down called “Ask Andy” with Jeff Lewis at BravoCon, Cohen opened up about the network’s approach to rebuilding “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” sharing how the cast came together for season 16.
“Before bringing [RHOA] back [for season 16], we wanted to bridge it back right and I would argue that bringing back, finding Angela Oakley and Shamea Morton and Phaedra Parks is back on the show, and of course Kelli Ferrell, those are three great new MVP new housewives,” Cohen said.
Cohen explained that the same level of care is being taken with “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” which has been on pause. “When we do bring back [RHONJ]… it will be because we have found the exact right group,” he continued. “We have too much great stuff going on to throw something on without it being absolutely right with us.”
The conversation quickly shifted to “The Real Housewives of New York City,” where Cohen shut down speculation about a hybrid cast involving season 15 members and OG Housewives. “No. Not true,” he told fans. He later added, “We’re close,” when asked for an RHONY timeline.
Why the Teresa Giudice and Gorga Reunion Didn’t Air
Speaking to Us Weekly, Cohen addressed the recent off-camera meetup between Teresa Giudice and the Gorgas. When asked whether the reunion was tied to the trio wanting back on RHONJ, Cohen kept it honest. “I have no idea,” he said. “They have to do this for themselves. It should have nothing to do with us.”
He confirmed the reunion wasn’t filmed on purpose. “I think that’s one of the reasons we didn’t pick cameras up,” Cohen explained. “We’d shot that scene many times before.” As for the future of RHONJ, he simply promised the series would return “when it’s right.”
Andy Cohen Announces New Spinoff: ‘The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip’
In celebration of 20 years of Housewives history, Cohen announced a new cross-country series titled “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip.” The show will feature beloved Housewives from various cities as they revisit iconic franchise locations.
“For two decades, The Real Housewives has amplified women’s voices, spotlighted their ambition, humor, and strength,” said NBCUniversal exec Rachel Berwick in a statement to People. “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip is a love letter to the women who turned a reality television show into a cultural phenomenon.”
The cast has not yet been finalized, but the series is set to air next year.
Andy Cohen Officially Gives Vicki Gunvalson Her RHOC Orange Back
Bravo fans erupted when Cohen publicly invited Vicki Gunvalson to return as a full-time Housewife for the historic season 20 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” The moment happened during the taping of “The Bravos,” the network’s biennial awards show.
Bravo Debuts New Franchise: ‘The Real Housewives of Rhode Island’
Cohen also revealed the first trailer for “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” premiering next year.
The debut season will follow Alicia Carmody, Rosie DiMare, Ashley Iaconetti, Liz McGraw, Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, Kelsey Swanson, and Jo-Ellen Tiberi as they navigate life in a tight-knit, coastal community. Dolores Catania will also appear as a friend of McGraw.
In the teaser, the cast proudly declares that Rhode Island may be “a blip,” but “to us, it’s the center of the universe.”

Not looking forward to Vicki at all. That screeching and over bearing personality is just too much for my taste! She’s another one that thinks they own the company. Don’t know if I’ll watch or not. Like the cast now except for Gretchen and her housewife wanna be Slade. He wants to be a housewife so bad he’ll do anything. Vicki was just as much involved with making fun of Gretchen the first couple seasons as Tamara was.
