While “The Real Housewives of New York City” is rumored to be undergoing a major cast shakeup for season 16, it doesn’t mean the ladies are letting go of their real-life friendships.
During an Oct. 28 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” apple holder Erin Lichy gave fans a much-needed update on the friendship status between the women. Plus, she surprisingly revealed the RHONY star who recently blocked her.

GettyErin Lichy is rumored to be among “The Real Housewives of New York City” stars returning for season 16. Among Lichy’s co-stars, reports have suggested that Sai De Silva and possibly Jessel Taank are also returning to the Bravo series.
Still, with casting updates continuing to shift every month, fans can’t help but wonder about the women’s real-life friendships with one another, especially after a dramatic conclusion to season 15.
Appearing as a guest on Andy Cohen’s WWHL on Oct. 28, Lichy was asked if she “had been hanging out with the [RHONY] ladies.”
To much surprise, Lichy shared, “Many of them, yes.” For season 15, the cast included Lichy, De Silva, Taank, Ubah Hassan, Jenna Lyons, Brynn Whitfield, and Racquel Chevremont. Fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff also appeared as a friend of the cast.
However, when Cohen asked if that also included seeing Whitfield, who had a major falling out with the cast last season, she answered, “No, she blocked me actually on Instagram. I don’t know what I did.” When Cohen asked if that happened after the tense reunion, Lichy responded, “No, like, recently.”
Lichy also shared that the other RHONY women have not been in contact with Whitfield either.
As fans recall, a major blowup during the RHONY cast trip to Puerto Rico led to the ladies mistrusting Whitfield. After the reunion, Whitfield announced in an Instagram Story (via Parade) that she would not be returning to the show
Lichy Shares Videos & Photos Hanging Out With the RHONY Women
Erin Lichy’s Instagram feed proves the RHONY friendships are still going strong. The reality star has shared videos and photos hanging out with her co-stars in the Big Apple, even though filming hasn’t started and the official season 16 cast hasn’t been confirmed.
In Sept., Lichy shared a video posing alongside Lyons and Taank, with De Silva later stepping into the frame. She captioned the video “Together again ☺️,” using the Janet Jackson song of the same name for her post.
In the comment section, Lyons wrote, “Love you guys ❤️❤️,” while De Silva shared, “So cute!!! Missed you ladies.” So, fans could assume the women found time out of their busy schedules to meet up for a much-needed reunion.
She also shared photos and videos spending time with De Silva. In September, the pair were seen in one of Lichy’s clips wearing matching long animal print jackets while walking through the streets of NYC. The fun continued in October, when Lichy posted another video of the two posing together and making silly faces for the camera.
