‘Summer House’ Star Carl Radke Breaks Silence on Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s Split

Carl Radke stands by his friends after Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s breakup.

The “Summer House” star opened up about the couple’s separation, which comes after four years of marriage, while also sharing an update on his own dating life and recent reconnection with fellow Bravo star Venita Aspen.

Cooke and Batula announced on January 19 that they had decided to part ways.

“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they shared in a joint statement posted to their Instagram Stories. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”

Carl Radke Shares Support for Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula

Speaking with The Daily Dish, Radke said he remains close to both Cooke and Batula.

“I love them both a lot,” Radke explained. “Like, I had the pleasure and honor of officiating the wedding, and I was Kyle’s best man. I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs with them. So, it was sad. But it’s not my relationship, and I wanted what’s best for them, and I know they’ve been going through a lot.”

Reflecting on his own 2023 breakup from Lindsay Hubbard, Radke said his heart especially goes out to Batula.

“It’s not easy at all,” he said. “I’ve certainly been through a breakup myself, but that was very different. I’ve just been trying to be supportive of them.”

Radke added that he recently spent time with both Cooke and Batula.

“I was with the both of them [recently], and the vibes were positive. They’re doing the best they can. So, please send them support; they need it,” he shared. “We’re rallying around the both of them, but I know over the next few months’ time, it’s not gonna get any easier.”

Looking ahead to the new season of “Summer House,” Radke teased that viewers will see conversations between him and Cooke about what he’s been experiencing.

“With Kyle, you’ll see a lot on this coming season of me and him having many conversations,” Radke said. “I was trying to be a guide… like, ‘Listen, man, this is what I’m seeing, and here’s maybe recommendations that might work for you.’”

‘Summer House’ Season Shows Lead-Up to Split and Carl’s New Chapter

Radke said the upcoming season includes moments that will spark reactions from fans.

“There’s stuff that people are gonna have opinions on or things to say,” he shared. “But I hope it’s an opportunity for Kyle to heal and Amanda to heal; maybe learn a little bit, and grow.”

He also opened up about his current dating status and confirmed he’s in the “exploring” phase with Aspen, who appears on “Southern Charm.”

“We were in London for a Bravo trip,” Radke said, explaining how they recently reconnected. “It’s been friendly and fun. I know a lot of people are talking about it.”

Radke revealed he’s known Aspen since around season 6 of “Summer House” in 2022, thanks to her friendship with Ciara Miller. Over the past two years, they crossed paths at Bravo events, including BravoCon.

“We had a fun interaction in the green room,” Radke recalled. “She’s gorgeous. She’s a sweet girl. She’s awesome. We have a lot of commonality.”

That connection led Radke to ask Aspen out. The two later met up in New York City.

“It was awesome,” Radke said of their date. “We had a lot of fun.”

They started the evening at Radke’s non-alcoholic bar, Soft Bar + Café, before heading to a nearby Mexican restaurant.

“We spent, like, five hours talking about all sorts of things,” he shared. “Since then, you know, we’ve kept in touch. I’m rooting for her.”

Season 10 of “Summer House” premieres Tuesday, February 3, on Bravo.
