Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” recently relaunched with a brand new cast. Now, one of the former stars of the show, Lala Kent, is revealing what she misses most about the show and her former co-stars, like Tom Sandoval and Katie Maloney, with whom she appeared.
Kent appeared on a recent Amazon Live session and responded to someone who asked who she missed filming “Vanderpump Rules” with.
She began, “I miss filming with the entire cast. All of them. It was such a special group of people. I had a wonderful time filming with all of them because not only did they know how to make a good show, that was just like the cherry on top. Our friendships and just the dynamic between everybody.”
From there, Kent gave examples of the group’s dynamics, citing her back-and-forth with Sandoval. She continued, “Yes, there was love there, but me and Tom Sandoval could not stand each other. It was like we were always at eachother’s throats.”
Lala Kent Also Discussed Filming ‘Vanderpump Rules’ With Katie Maloney
Kent continued her Amazon Live session by mentioning Maloney. She said, “And then filming with people like Katie. You know, her being my best friend, it didn’t feel like we were making a show. It just felt like we were hanging out and ‘oh, oh, there just happens to be a camera.’ It was like our everyday, even when cameras were down.”
She said at the end, “I miss it so much.” According to Variety, Bravo announced it was rebooting “Vanderpump Rules” in November 2024. This came after a heavily divided 11th season following the Scandoval drama.
Roughly a year later, Bravo announced the cast for “Vanderpump Rules” season 12, with it premiering on December 2. Kent spoke about the reboot in October 2025 in a conversation with E! She said, “I don’t know any of the cast.
I will say I’m very excited for them, because I know that feeling of being on TV for the first time. It’s very fun. I’ve heard that it’s gonna be amazing.”
Despite not knowing the cast, Kent had heard things about them. She said, “You cannot teach the art of reality TV. Even if you’ve watched it, you can tell when someone’s been watching reality TV, and they try to bring those iconic moments. I’ve heard this cast is so authentically themselves and there’s not a lot of self-awareness, which is freaking awesome.”
She’s Joining ‘The Valley’
Kent appeared in season two of “The Valley” in a friend-of-the-show capacity. However, fans can expect to see her on the show more often as she and Tom Schwartz are both joining as full-time cast members.
Per Bravo, they announced this in November at BravoCon 2025. They announced it during the “Peaks & The Valley” panel at the convention. Kent stated that she had a “wonderful time” filming the third season of the hit Bravo show.
There is no confirmed premiere date for “The Valley” season three, but it is expected to premiere in 2026.
