Venita Aspen from “Southern Charm” recently sparked romance rumors after spending an extended, hours-long date with her “Summer House” star Carl Radke.
Aspen revealed the two went out on a date while appearing on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast hosted by Amanda Hirsch on Tuesday, December 23.
The date took place a couple of weeks prior to her dishing about it on the podcast.
“We have now gone on one date, which is very nice,” she told the host.
The 32-year-old revealed they had a nice date in New York City.
Aspen Gives Details on the Date
“We went to Soft Bar, of course, first and I got to see that whole experience. Then, we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant around the corner,” she continued.
The “Southern Charm” star revealed the two were there so long they “had to be asked to leave.”
“I think it lasted for almost five hours. We were together, the whole day, for about five hours,” Aspen said.
Aspen, known for her confident personality and sharp wit on “Southern Charm,” has been navigating her post-show life with a mix of self-discovery and openness to new connections.
She previously had a brief romance with former “Southern Charm” star JT Thomas that ended up becoming a hot topic at the latest reunion.
Meanwhile Radke, has shared his own ups and downs in recent years, including his public past relationship with co-star Lindsay Hubbard and subsequent breakups that have been documented by fans.
Their time together marks one of the first notable outings for Radke since his split from Hubbard. Radke has primarily focused on his new bar in New York City.
What Aspen Asked Radke Prior to Their Date
Radke is sober, and Aspen revealed she sweetly asked before the date if it was okay if she had a drink during their date.
“I literally texted him before we went on the date, and I was like, ‘Hey, like are you OK with if I drink?’” she added. “He was like, ‘Well, first of all, no one’s ever asked me that.’ I’m fine to not drink, and if someone’s trying to date someone or get to know someone better, they might not want their partner to drink. I was just like, ‘Oh, let me ask.’”
She added that she ended up only having one margarita during the long date.
