“Southern Charm” alum Austen Kroll recently shared a lighthearted update about his relationship with former co-star Cameran Eubanks, offering fans a glimpse into their ongoing friendship years after she left the Bravo series.
Kroll took to Instagram Stories and reposted an AI-generated story claiming that his “beloved friendship” with Eubanks had been “shattered.” The post jokingly alleged that Eubanks had spent “$50,000 in home security” to keep him away.
“AI is wild,” Kroll wrote over the post. “[Cameran] I’m sorry! Bill me for the security system!”
Eubanks quickly responded by resharing the post on her own Instagram Story.
“LEAVE ME ALONE [AUSTEN]!” she wrote.
Cameran Eubanks Shares Life Updates After ‘Southern Charm’
Since departing “Southern Charm” after season 6, Eubanks has maintained a lower public profile while continuing to share occasional updates about her personal life.
Eubanks is still married to Jason Wimberly, an anesthesiologist based in Charleston. The couple shares one daughter, Palmer Wimberly.
In March 2025, Eubanks posted a series of Instagram photos featuring her daughter modeling fashions she designed. Earlier that year, on February 21, 2025, she shared a photo with Wimberly as they celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary.
“So fresh and so clean, clean,” she captioned the image.
Wimberly remained largely off camera during Eubanks’ time on the show. Speaking to The Daily Dish in 2017, Eubanks explained his decision.
“He has zero desire to be on TV. I always joke that he is just a normal person and most normal people don’t want to be in the spotlight,” she said. “Does this mean I’m calling myself crazy? Absolutely. We all have a bit of an ego. Jason doesn’t have one, which is part of the reason I love him so much. He’s the yin to my yang.”
The ‘Real World’ Alum Maintains Friendships With ‘Southern Charm’ Cast
Although she left the series, Eubanks has remained close with several current and former cast members, including Shep Rose, Naomie Olindo, and Chelsea Meissner.
Rose confirmed their continued friendship during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” recalling a recent text exchange.
“We were texting on the way up here,” Rose said. “And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m headed to New York.’ And she’s like, ‘Oh, I’ll be there next week.’ And when she said, ‘I’ll be there,’ I thought, ‘Oh my god. What if she rang the doorbell on Watch What Happens Live?’”
Rose said he immediately imagined the reaction to a surprise appearance.
“I go, ‘There would be a f–king earthquake if you did that in the Clubhouse,’” he continued. “[Cameran] was like, ‘Oh my god! I hadn’t even thought about that.’ But I’m sure that Andy would love to see Cameran again.”
Cameran Eubanks Explained Decision to Leave ‘Southern Charm’
Eubanks confirmed in May 2020 that she would not return to “Southern Charm” ahead of season 7, addressing rumors about her marriage at the time.
“My decision was made and given to Bravo months ago and had absolutely nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumors about my marriage,” she wrote via Instagram, according to The Daily Dish. “Please disregard any fabricated rumor. It’s a ploy for ratings and that’s it. Drama is needed to stay relevant on reality television and sadly false rumors about other are sometimes created.”
She added, “Now I absolutely know I was smart to leave the party early. My gut has never failed me.”
In her 2021 memoir, “One Day You’ll Thank Me,” Eubanks reflected further on her departure.
“My mantra with social media if you are on a reality show: You don’t like the heat? Get out of the kitchen,” she wrote. “Well, get out of the kitchen is exactly what I did after season six … It was time to move on.”
Eubanks also made it clear she does not plan to return to reality television.
“I’m pretty certain I am done with reality TV, though,” she wrote. “I’ve got two shows under my belt, and at this point I am enjoying the simpler life without a camera in my face.”
In February 2026, Eubanks addressed rumors about a potential spinoff involving her and former castmates.
“This keeps being sent to me so addressing it here,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “NOT TRUE 😂.”
