Bravo Stars Make Vulnerable Admission About Eating Cat Food While Chasing Their Dreams

The newly revamped “Vanderpump Rules” season 12 takes viewers back to the start, following employees at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant in West Hollywood as they work as bartenders, servers, and hostesses while chasing their dreams in the entertainment industry.

In Bravo’s new season, viewers are introduced to cousins Chris Hahn, a bartender, and Jason Cohen, a server, who may be charming the staff with their good looks, but have also been candid about the real struggles of living in Los Angeles and trying to make a name for themselves.

In the Jan. 6 episode of “Vanderpump Rules,” cousins Jason Cohen and Chris Hahn reflect on their early struggles after moving from New Jersey to Los Angeles. Sharing the same dreams and passions for making it big, their stories resonated with many viewers.

“This journey with me and Chris moving to California was just like any typical actor’s story,” Cohen shared in a confessional. “The first five months in L.A., I was grinding as a server, working at a spa, and I was also working at a club, like three jobs.”

Hahn then shared that while he and Cohen had not expected the move to be so difficult, he was glad he had his cousin by his side.

In a flashback scene, both men discussed the hardships of their move. “We lived in our [expletive] cars,” Cohen said. When Hahn shared that their clothes were in trash bags, Cohen responded, “I was using the trash bags of clothes as warmth at nightย โ€”ย and your body heat.”

“And then honestly, bro, I was just getting sick of ramen noodles and [expletive] cat food,” Cohen continued.

In a confessional, he elaborated, “I was trying to eat clean and, like, I didn’t have any money to do it, so I was eating cat food.”ย

Aside from working at SUR, both men revealed that they found a way to earn an extra income with OnlyFans. “Jason started OnlyFans before me, and I started seeing how much money he was making. And I really just wanted to make as much [expletive] money as we can,” Hahn admitted.

Both Hahn & Cohen Appeared on Other Reality TV Shows

Cohen and Hahn truly embody hustle, doing whatever it takes to chase their dreams, even if that means appearing on multiple reality TV shows to earn money and gain recognition.

Before joining VPR, both Cohen and Hahn appeared on Netflix’s dating reality series “Dated and Related” in 2022.

The show bills itself as “the most awkward dating show in history,” focusing on siblings competing in challenges and helping each other find love, sometimes even vying for the same person. Thankfully for Cohen and Hahn, it was a bit less awkward, as they were the only set of cousins on the show.

Unfortunately, neither of the men found love on the show.

Cohen continued to pursue reality TV opportunities, even appearing on Netflix’s “Perfect Match” season 2.

Outside of their employment at SUR, Cohen is pursuing acting and taking classes to hone his craft, while Hahn is following his passion for music, per their Bravo bios.
