Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” returns Dec. 2 for season 12, with viewers eager to meet the fresh-faced cast promising to deliver a new era of reality TV drama.
However, several of Lisa Vanderpump’s employees have ties to the original cast, especially those who have worked at SUR restaurant for many years. Hopefully, they gave them some much-needed advice when it comes to sharing their lives on camera.
The VPR Season 12 Cast With Connections to the OGs
BravoSeason 12 of “Vanderpump Rules” has been fully revamped, spotlighting new cast members who genuinely work at SUR and taking viewers back to its original roots.
However, some of these newcomers have worked at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant for years, even working alongside members of the original cast. They just so happened to be seen behind the scenes.
Marcus Johnson “has been working at SUR for years,” as his Bravo bio states, meaning he’s certainly crossed paths with the original cast members. Speaking to the Daily Dish, he shared, “I was here when the old show was filming. Some of them would come in and be cool and say what’s up.”
In fact, Johnson revealed that he received some advice from Tom Schwartz, who may appear this season, as he continues to run his bar, TomTom.
“He’s been super cool and gave me some advice and, you know, we’ve taken a few shots together,” Johnson said. “He’s kind of given me a little bit of, you know, tools to use to go forward with.”
Natalie Maguire’s Connection to Scheana Shay
BravoAccording to Natalie Maguire’s Bravo bio, she’s been working as SUR’s lead bartender for two years, which means she’s certainly seen a few OG faces here and there. In fact, she told Daily Dish, she’s “become sort of friendly” with original cast member Scheana Shay, even sharing that she “was at her 40th birthday party.”
“Her advice is the basic, ‘Just be yourself, be real.’ But it really is the best advice. You can’t do this and pretend to be someone you’re not,” Maguire told the outlet.
Maguire might have also asked Shay for some advice on her music career, as her bio also notes that she “is pursuing her pop music career” outside of her job. As fans know too well, Shay would often work on her music career during her days as a SUR server, and even came out with the hit “Good as Gold.”
Could viewers see Maguire performing her latest pop hit at SUR?
The New Cast Gives Their Honest Thoughts on Peter Madrigal
BravoOf course, Lisa’s employees will be on their best behavior, or they’ll get a stern talking to from manager, Peter Madrigal, who is the only OG cast member to return for season 12.
Speaking to Daily Dish, the new cast shared their first thoughts on Madrigal, including Kim Suarez, who works as a server. “He’s kind of an introvert when you first meet him. I thought that he hated me for the longest time, but he’s just very quiet. Everyone comes here and honestly just wants to meet him. He’s just, like, an icon. He takes photos with everyone, and he is so sweet and he’s so kind,” she shared.
Newbie Angelica Jensen also described Madrigal as being an “introvert.”
“I think the first several times I saw him, he was, like, an enigma. I’m like, ‘Is this person real?'” She joked. However, she explained that once she got to know him she described him as “the most, like, fun little golden retriever energy. Yeah, sweet, sweet person.”
