Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” season 12 is well underway with the fresh new faces employed at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant already making waves for their authentic friendships and real-life drama.
Although fans of the beloved series can’t help but miss seeing Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, and Ariana Madix on their television screens, they did get a chance to see a small cameo from one VPR OG during the Dec. 16 episode.
Peter Madrigal Makes a Cameo on VPR Season 12
Fans of the first eleven seasons of “Vanderpump Rules” were in for a treat when SUR manager and OG cast member Peter Madrigal made a short cameo on the Dec. 16 episode of the rebooted series.
In the clip, Madrigal is seen showing new bartender Chris Hahn how to make a cocktail. It was a quick moment that instantly transported fans back to the early days of their favorite former SUR employees working behind the bar.
Madrigal has remained a constant figure at SUR, where he continues to work as manager. In fact, he held that title when “Vanderpump Rules” first premiered in 2013.
In December 2024, Madrigal confirmed during an appearance on “The Domenick Nati Show” that he was the only original cast member returning to the reboot. “The one that’s still there is yours truly,” he shared.
He also teased with People whether he wanted to be seen on camera and be a part of the new season, stating, “Yeah, yeah. Yes. Yeah, all of the above.” Hopefully, fans see a lot more of him in the coming episodes.
However, one thing is certain: fans won’t see him getting entangled in all the drama. “I kind of avoid everything,” he shared on the “Jamie All Over” podcast in 2022. “The thing is, I’m not going to be able to be managing SUR and involved in drama. That’s not good, you know what I mean? There always has to be someone with a level head through all the chaos involved.”
The VPR Season 12 Cast Was Spotted Filming at Something About Her
NBCUniversalWhile it may be unlikely, fans may get the chance to even spot Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney on an episode of VPR. According to the season 12 trailer, the drama appears to extend beyond SUR to the women’s sandwich shop, Something About Her.
In the clip, lead bartender Natalie Maguire and new server Angelica Jensen were seen chowing down on delicious sandwiches as they discussed co-star Shayne Davis’ flirtatious ways with both of them.
In fact, in an interview with Extra in December 2024, Madix happily welcomed cameras to her shop when discussing the reboot.
“Katie Maloney and I do own Something About Her sandwich shop two doors down from SUR. If they start filming and they need to have an argument and they want to have it over a sandwich, they are welcome to argue over our sandwiches,” she shared.
