The “Summer House” cast is gearing up for the highly anticipated tenth season premiere on Feb. 3. However, just weeks before the debut, the show’s stars, Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke, announced their separation on Jan. 19, ending their four-year marriage.
In a recent interview, Batula and Cooke’s Bravo co-star, West Wilson, weighed in on the former couple’s split, becoming one of the first cast members to share his candid thoughts, suggesting that the breakup might actually be “for the better.”

On the Jan. 23 episode of the “Show Me Something” podcast, Wilson weighed in on the split, noting that any couple would find it challenging to handle such big news in the public eye.
“It’s a weird world because their relationship has been so public, you know?” He began. “But obviously, they should both be awarded privacy if that’s what they want.”
He noted that people who have watched Batula and Cooke’s relationship for years on “Summer House” somewhat “feel entitled” to know why their marriage ended. But that shouldn’t be the case.
“I guess my big thing would be to tell other people who are on the internet to be respectful,” he added.
Wilson also shared that he is “proud” of how his castmates are handling their split. “Even if this is what’s best for them and it’s all going to be for the better, it is still objectively a hard thing to do. It is probably so [expletive] exhausting. I can’t speak for them, but I am proud of them up until this point.”
Despite announcing their separation, fans will still see Cooke and Batula together when “Summer House” season 10 premieres in February. However, a trailer for the new season sees the couple tackling major issues in their marriage, including Batula confessing that Cooke slept at a fan’s house after a DJ set.
Wilson & Ciara Miller Admit Their True Feelings for Each Other on ‘Summer House’ Season 10
GettyWilson is coming into the tenth season of “Summer House” with a better relationship with his ex, Ciara Miller. The co-stars struck up a romance on season 8, but that quickly turned sour, and by the following season, Miller made sure to ignore Wilson as they partied in the Hamptons.
In the season 10 trailer, Wilson and Miller seemed to have rebuilt their friendship, but hints of lingering feelings suggest the story between them isn’t quite finished.
Both Wilson and Miller are seen flirting with one another, and even their housemate Lindsay Hubbard notices, asking Wilson, “You might be catching feelings for her.” She is then heard telling Miller, “I think West is in love with you. Would you ever give him another shot?”
In one scene, Wilson is seen rubbing his foot up against Miller’s leg, and in another clip, the two have a heart-to-heart, where a tearful Miller admits, “I do miss you,” with Wilson replying, “I mean yeah, me too. How could I not?”
Miller is then seen resting her head on Wilson’s chest as he kisses her on the top of her head.
Speaking to People in May 2025, Wilson described rebuilding his relationship with Miller as a “slow, slow” process. He also admitted that having other women in the Hamptons house while Miller is around is a challenge he’s not sure he’s ready to take on.
“I think we’re at the point now where we could, I don’t know, probably do it,” he said. “Doing that in front of an ex, I feel like it’s hard for it to not be distasteful. I don’t know. That’ll be a game-time decision, probably.”
