Amanda Batula, 34, and Kyle Cooke, 43, announced their separation just weeks before the upcoming “Summer House” season 10 premiere on Feb. 3.
Before they officially parted ways, the former couple, who had been together for 10 years, opened up in an interview with Us Weekly about how their relationship was actively at a “crossroads” during filming. The interview was published one day after news of their shocking split.
While Batula and Cooke have previously been open about their low points as a couple, Batula candidly disclosed the moment she knew their marriage was “different” — and not in a good way.
‘Things Just Sort of Became Different’
Getty“Being on the same page with what our future looks like, what we want in life, where we’re going career-wise… things just sort of became different for us,” she told the outlet. “I mean, honestly, I’m gonna have to watch it [season 10] back and figure it out with everyone else because I still don’t know! I’m going to be learning a lot watching the show back.”
“We’re figuring out what we want out of life and out of the relationship,” she added of what fans can expect to see. “We’re sort of trying to talk through that and figure it all out in real time. It’s going to be a very raw season.”
Although Batula was repeatedly vocal about her concerns over Cooke’s late-night habits, ultimately leading to one of their many marital rifts, the Loverboy CEO told Us Weekly that there was “no particular issue” that led to their breakup.
Kyle Cooke Never Wanted to ‘Discredit’ His Wife’s Feelings
“What you’re seeing is a 10-year relationship,” Cooke said. “A lot of people don’t make it very far, and that’s on or off camera.” He noted how his career as a DJ was “an easy thing to point a finger at,” adding, “I’m not trying to discredit how Amanda feels — her frustrations are totally valid. I think that’s part of what we’re trying to figure out.”
Before news of their split, which Batula revealed on her Instagram Story on Jan. 19, she and Cooke shut down rumors about living separately. The swimwear designer shared a playful Instagram video in December 2025, trolling the speculation. Neither have shared who will take custody of their two dogs or what their living arrangements will be moving forward.
Despite not having a prenuptial agreement, Batula and Cooke said in their breakup statement that they “mutually” ended their marriage “amicably,” adding that they shared the announcement with a “heavy heart.”
