Ciara Miller shared a powerful quote about female strength hours before her ”Summer House” co-stars, Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula, announced they were separating after four years of marriage and 10 years as a couple.
In a post shared to her Instagram Stories on Jan. 19, the Bravo TV personality, who is close friends with Batula, shared a quote that she attributed to Maya Angelou.
“Let’s not teach our daughters about being pretty,” the post read. “Teach them to be Bold. Silly. Strong. Confident. Independent. Intelligent. Brave. Fierce.”
A few hours after Miller made the post, Cooke and Batula shared a joint statement on their Instagram Stories, announcing that they have “mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple.”
“We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing,” the statement read.

The breakup was not a huge shock to fans, as rumors about Cooke and Batula’s relationship had been swirling for months. In November, Page Six reported that the longtime couple was living separately and “going through a challenging time.” At the time, a source noted that the two were “both committed to working on their relationship.”
In a “Traitors” panel clip from BravoCon that same month, Miller was put on the spot by host Danny Pellegrino regarding her Bravo bestie’s relationship. After Pellegrino asked if Cooke was “faithful” to Batula, Miller replied, “So aggressive. Yes, as far as I know, he is a faithful. Don’t do that.”
Shortly after BravoCon took place in Las Vegas, the “Summer House” season 10 trailer featured a peek at Batula telling Miller and fellow co-star Lindsay Hubbard that “Kyle fell asleep at some fan’s apartment and came home at, like, 6:30 in the morning.”
Miller called Cooke’s actions “[expletive] insane.”
Ciara Miller Gave Amanda Batula Tough Love Over the Years
BravoMiller has long given Batula tough love regarding her marital issues. During Season 8 of the Bravo realty show, she called out Batula for putting too big a focus on her work with Cooke’s hard beverage business and not enough work into her marriage. “Do you think you have an identity outside of Kyle and Loverboy? Because I don’t,” Batula said in a scene shared by Bravo.com.
Miller, who is a nurse, also gave Batula advice to see a doctor about her fertility after she shared that her menstrual cycle was off track.
