Keaton’s death has left an undeniable hole in the entertainment industry, and she has been celebrated for being an icon. Some of her well-known roles include appearances in “Sleeper,” “Book Club,” “The Family Stone,” and “Something’s Gotta Give.” She also won a slew of awards, including the prestigious Oscar award for Best Actress in 1977 in Woody Allen’s film, “Annie Hall.”

Keaton is survived by her two children, a daughter, Dexter, and a son, Duke. She adopted her children in 1996 and 2001, respectively. She never married, but had high-profile relationships with Warren Beatty, Woody Allen, and Al Pacino.

“I’m 73 and I think I’m the only one in my generation and maybe before who has been a single woman all her life,” she told People in a 2019 interview. “[I’m not sad] because I think that I needed more of a maternal aspect. I don’t think it would have been a good idea for me to have married, and I’m really glad I didn’t, and I’m sure they’re happy about it, too.”
