Alix Earle is stepping into a new chapter with reality TV, and she’s being honest about what it means to bring her real life, and her family, along for the ride.
The “Dancing With the Stars” alum opened up about her upcoming Netflix reality series during an appearance on Today, sharing that while she’s used to being on camera, her family is still adjusting. “I’m used to cameras and stuff now a little bit more. My family — no, not media trained. Nothing,” she said with a laugh.
The 25-year-old influencer admitted the experience has been a “learning process” for everyone involved. When asked if she’s had moments of second-guessing, she said, “It’s a little bit,” before adding, “But I think it’ll be fun.”
The unscripted series will follow Earle, her family and friends as she continues to grow her career beyond social media. She first teased the project in January, sharing that while fans may feel like they know her, “there’s still so much more,” and the show will highlight “the real moments… the vulnerable ones, the hard ones, and the fun, chaotic ones in between,” per Netflix Tudum.
A Blended Family at the Center of It All
At the heart of the show is Earle’s blended family, which she says has remained close despite past challenges. “We have a blended family … Through even my parents divorce, we all hang out together,” she explained, per People. “So hopefully it’s a good representation of putting family first and really loving each other and the ups and downs that come with family.”
Earle’s family includes her parents, Alisa and Thomas “TJ” Earle, her sister Ashtin and her three half-siblings, Izabel, Penelope and Thomas. After her parents’ divorce, her father married Ashley Dupré, who is now her stepmother. While the transition was not easy at first, Earle has since shared that they are now close and continue to spend time together as a family, according to Us Weekly.
That strong family dynamic has already played out publicly. During her time on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2025, Earle brought her younger sister Izabel on stage for an emotional Dedication Night performance. Dancing to Coldplay’s “Sparks,” she honored her sister and reflected on how Izabel’s birth helped her through a difficult time after her parents’ split.
Earle later revealed she was overwhelmed with emotion before going on stage. “I was crying holding her,” she said, adding that she could barely see during the first moments of the performance.
Letting Cameras In on the “Real” Moments
While Earle has built her brand on sharing her life online, she admitted that giving up some control for a reality show is a new experience. “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a little scary,” she said, explaining that she is used to choosing what to post and what to keep private.
Still, she hopes the series will give viewers a more complete picture of her life. “I’m most excited for people to see more of my real life beyond the quick clips… the chaos, the emotional moments, the stressful parts, and all the little things in between that you don’t always see online,” she shared.
As she prepares for the show’s release, Earle is embracing both the excitement and uncertainty that come with it, keeping her approach simple and honest. “I’m a little scared, for sure, but here we go,” she said.

It’s understandable to feel that way – exposing your family like that must be a big step, especially for a show!
