Social media influencer and “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 finalist Alix Earle has shared something deeply personal with fans: her mom is in the hospital.
Alix Earle Gives Short Update About Her Mom
Earle posted a TikTok video on January 7 to share that she had been crying over the fact that her mom was in poor health and that she had returned to New Jersey to be by her side. “I’m going to go see her, and I may or may not talk more about this this week. I just want to see how everything goes, and first of all, just be there for her,” she told fans. “It was also something that, I mean, during my travels I had a few cries.”
She also shared in her clip that her mom’s boyfriend and her sister, Ashtin, had been with her mom that morning, and that they would be collecting her the next day from the hospital. That day would be today, Thursday, January 8. Earle informed fans that they would take care of her.
Despite her mom’s health, Earle shared a hopeful message, saying she was feeling “so good and grounded.” She continued, “I’m just happy that we are starting off the year checking off these goals of being independent.”

Earle chose not to give specific details about her mom’s procedure. However, she did reveal in a December 2025 video that her mom had been “going through something right now with her health,” People reports. She learned of her mom’s health struggles while competing on the ABC dance competition. “That day was honestly a little hard for me,” she said in the video. “This was also something we found out about while I was on ‘Dancing with the Stars’, so that was just another one of the things I was dealing with.”
There has been a lot happening in Earle’s private life in recent months. In addition to her mom’s health, she has also split from her longtime boyfriend, NFL star Braxton Berrios. On December 13, she shared her heartbreak in a TikTok video. “Braxton and I are no longer together. We have been doing long distance since, basically, June, and we haven’t got to see each other that often,” she said. “It’s just been really difficult for me. I think that was a scary thing for me to realize because it meant us not being in the same place.”
