So far, three celebrity cast members have been announced for “Dancing With the Stars” season 35. Casting director Deena Katz confirmed they’re deep into the casting process. Without a doubt, they’re looking for celebrity talent that will entice viewers to tune in.
So far, two cast members of NBC’s hit comedy, “The Office,” have competed on DWTS. Will season 35 feature another actor?
Creed Bratton Reveals His Stance On Joining ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Kate Flannery competed in Dancing With the Stars season 28, while Melora Hardin competed in season 30. Fans of “The Office” had a blast watching the actresses compete for the Mirrorball trophy. They’d love to see another star give it a try.
Creed Bratton played a fictionalized version of himself on “The Office.” While he truly is a talented guitar player, the eccentricities of his onscreen persona were largely fabricated. Bratton was part of the brand, The Grass Roots, in the 1960s.
While Creed Bratton is a huge fan of dancing, he isn’t interested in joining “Dancing With the Stars.”
“Oh, no. No no,” the 83-year-old told Entertainment Weekly when asked if he would enter the ballroom.
“Well, you know, I square dance. I’ve been waltzing. I waltz!” “The Office” star explained. “I could go waltzing with the lady of my choice.”
While he appreciates the art form, there’s one very important element of DWTS that the actor just can’t get behind.
Creed Bratton elaborated and said any costume with spandex would be a dealbreaker for him.
“All the spandex and stuff. That’s where I draw the line. You don’t want to see me in spandex,” he told the outlet.
Kate Flannery Campaigned For Robert Irwin to Win Season 34
Kate Flannery might not have won DWTS season 28, but she still carries a special fondness for the show. She and her partner, Pasha Pashkov, finished in seventh place out of 13 couples. Today, the actress enjoys watching the show and cheering for her favorite contestants.
During “Dancing With the Stars” season 34, Flannery campaigned for Robert Irwin to take home the Mirrorball Trophy.
“Ran into this gem today,” “The Office” star shared on Instagram last fall. “He’s tough, like me. He’s also on @dancingwiththestars like I once was. You better vote! This Tuesday is #wicked Don’t mess with @robertirwinphotography On #dwts he’s tough & that’s not a crock.”
“You’re the best!!!!” Robert sweetly replied in the comments. The conservationist and his dance partner, Witney Carson, went on to win at the end of the season.
Fans Prepare For the Upcoming Spin-Off This Summer
Robert Irwin now has the Mirrorball trophy, but he certainly isn’t done with the program. This summer, the reigning champion will host the show’s spin-off, “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.”
The series will follow 12 dancers as they compete for a spot as the next pro on DWTS. Current pro Ezra Sosa’s older sister, Stephani, is among the hopeful contestants.
“DWTS: The Next Pro” airs on Monday, July 13, on ABC. Fans can catch the season 35 premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” this fall. The full cast list will come out shortly before the new season airs.
