Ezra Sosa’s Sister Stephani to Compete For Next ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Spot

Dancing With the Stars” pro Ezra Sosa might be joined by his older sister in the ballroom this fall.

Stephani Sosa is certainly no stranger to the DWTS set. In season 33, she joined the show as a troupe member along with Marcquet Hill, Roman Nevinchanyi, and Kailyn Rogers. On social media, the Sosa siblings confirmed that Stephani had been cut from the troupe the following season, while Ezra continued on as a pro dancer.

But all that hard work in the rehearsal room might pay off soon. After a phenomenal year, Stephani Sosa has joined the newly announced competition, “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.”

Ezra Sosa’s Older Sister Stephani Takes Her Shot to Be the Next Pro

This week, DWTS announced there would be a spin-off about the search for the show’s next pro dancer. Reigning champion Robert Irwin hosts the series, with ballroom legends Mark and Shirley Ballas serving as judges.

Stephani Sosa will be among the hopefuls competing for a spot as a pro. If she wins the competition, she will receive a celebrity partner of her own and go head-to-head with her younger brother, 25-year-old Ezra Sosa.

“Secret is OUT!!! @dancingwiththestars,” Stephani excitedly captioned an Instagram post this week. In the video, the 26-year-old shows off her excitement and gratitude with a happy dance.

“When they finally announce the DWTS Next Pro Dancer show,” she wrote over the video.

Fans and loved ones flooded the comments to wish Stephani well during the competition.

“Saw you on the reel and said she BETTER get this!!” one supportive Instagram user noted. Even the official DWTS Instagram account chimed in, writing “YESSSS 🤩✨”

In a teaser for the new series on Instagram, fans easily spotted Stephani Sosa among the other dancers.

The Sosa Siblings Are Incredibly Close

Stephani and Ezra Sosa aren’t just close in age. They’re best friends too. The siblings competed on “So You Think You Can Dance” season 16 together, making it to the top 10.

Many “Dancing With the Stars” viewers would be over the moon to see the Sosas together in the ballroom again.

Although Stephani Sosa felt incredibly disheartened when she didn’t make the DWTS troupe for another season, she pressed onward. She proudly went on to dance in the Super Bowl LX halftime show during Bad Bunny’s performance.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted Stephani dancing among the others on the football field. Of course, her younger brother was among her biggest cheerleaders.

If both Stephani and Ezra Sosa receive an invite to compete as pros on “Dancing With the Stars” this fall, they’ll join the ranks of other famous dance siblings. Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy competed against each other on the show for years. And when Lindsay Arnold took a step back from the show, her sister Rylee became the show’s newest pro.

“Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” premieres on Monday, July 13, 2026, on ABC. “Dancing With the Stars” season 35 returns to ABC this September.
