Lily Allen Is Beyond Chic in a Skin-Tight See-Through Dress: PHOTOS

Lily Allen slayed the see-through trend when she showed up to the global stage premiere of “The Hunger Games: On Stage” in London on November 12. However, she put a unique twist on the style by wearing a 1999 John Galliano for Dior gown that boasted a crochet-knit.

The black skin-tight, full-length piece also featured long sleeves. With a dotted pattern on the top, the piece transformed into a chevron look on the bottom area and sleeves. She completed her outfit with black panties beneath her dress as well as platform shoes.

To add to the look, she wore her hair up in a fun messy ‘do along with her signature bangs.

This look comes not long after Lily showed up to the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards “wearing a skin-baring ensemble,” according to Us Weekly.

“Lily’s all-white, lingerie-inspired outfit — a long skirt and underboob-exposing bra — made quite the statement,” Us continued. “She removed a floor-grazing blouse for photos, and revealed the sheer lace fabric on the back of the skirt that showed off her legs.”

Lily Suggests Teens Girls Dress Modestly

While Lily’s gown isn’t exactly an example of dressing modestly, that’s exactly what she says teenagers might want to do.

In October 2007, she was asked by Teen Vogue what style advice she had for “Teen Vogue girls?”

“I’d tell them to make sure they dress really modestly,” she said. “You don’t need to show a lot, especially when you’re performing. Be really conservative and make sure you cover up, girls.”

Lily Also Won’t Be Shamed

Whether Lily is wearing something daring or modest, she won’t be shamed for her choices.

In June 2018, Refinery29 asked, “Does the idea of ‘shame’ have anything to do with your personal style?”

“Not at all. I think people like to project shame,” she said. “That’s what has happened a lot to me over the past 10 years. I don’t mind people saying You look like [expletive] in photos — that’s their opinion, whatever.”

“But when people say ‘Lily Allen suffers embarrassing wardrobe malfunction,’ it’s like, the only person who can tell you whether that was embarrassing or not is me, and I’m not embarrassed,” she continued. “It really irritates me when people assume your emotions about something and put it into print. Because those are my feelings.”

“And also, what you’re saying is, like, If this happens to you, you should be ashamed,” Lily added. “But it’s like, I literally just walked down the road and my boob fell out — it’s not really a big deal. And if there wasn’t someone there with a long-range camera to capture 90 frames per second, then you wouldn’t have seen it either. Like, it’s not real.”
