We kicked things off tonight with a couple of challenges for these contestants. It was all about figuring out how good (or bad) these reality stars can cook. Fan-favorite chef Jeff Mauro and restaurateur Tiffany Derry were putting them to the test, and the contestants were feeling the pressure.

Season 30 Has Arrived
Jeff and Chef Tiffany are in the kitchen, and the 10 new contestants have arrived. Time for the new season to start. I will update as the premiere airs live.
8:15 p.m. – The contestants are tasked with their first challenge: create a red-carpet worthy dish in 60 minutes. This is a baseline challenge, so Jeff and Chef Tiffany can judge how well they can cook.
8:31 p.m. – These people are definitely struggling in the kitchen. Some of them are making some big dishes for not cooking.
8:37 p.m. – The time runs out on the first challenge, and the contestants all have their dishes plated, so time for the judges to taste them!
8:57 p.m. – The judges taste all the dishes, and now time to pick their teams. First, they will have to recreate and elevate the worst dish from the first challenge (Beverly Mitchell’s dish). Mark Long, a former winner of “Worst Cooks in America” and who appeared on season 1 of “Road Rules,” joins them, and he will judge the dishes and pick a winner.

9:15 p.m. – Chef Tiffany won the challenge, so she got to pick her team first. Here are the teams for season 30:
- Red Team (Chef Tiffany) – Reza, Val, Manila, Romeo, and Amara
- Blue Team (Jeff) – Ryan, CT, Beverly, Julie, and Lisa
9:34 p.m. – For the next challenge, it’s the first Main Dish Demo challenge on “Worst Cooks in America.” For Jeff, it’s Peri Peri Chicken with Peri Peri Couscous and Mushy Minty Peas. For the Red Team, Chef Tiffany has them making Peri Peri Chicken with Couscous Salad and Brussel Sprouts. The contestants now have 60 minutes to replicate these dishes.
Results on ‘Worst Cooks in America’ Season 30
The judges and contestants are back in the kitchen. The contestants with the best dishes tonight are:
- Red Team – Reza
- Blue Team – Beverly
The other contestants safe on Blue Team are CT, Julie, and Lisa. That means Ryan is up for elimination tonight. For the Red Team, Val, Amara, and Manila are safe. That means Romeo is up for elimination tonight.
Blind Elimination Challenge
9:50 p.m. – Now Romeo and Ryan will compete in a blind elimination challenge. They will have 50 minutes to make a chicken skewer dish with a flavorful sauce. The judges will leave the kitchen while they cook, then come back and taste both dishes without knowing which contestant cooked that dish.
9:59 p.m. – The judges taste both of the dishes. They picked Ryan’s dish as the winner, which means that Romeo has been eliminated tonight on “Worst Cooks in America” season 30.
