Who doesn’t love a cozy snow day? The snow may be coming down outside, but nothing beats curling up with a warm blanket, a cup of hot chocolate, and a heart-warming Hallmark movie. I mean, could a day sound any more perfect?
Hallmark gives viewers the perfect place to go for feel-good stories, beautiful settings, and snowy backdrops that make this winter weather feel magical instead of dreary. We picked five snow-filled Hallmark movies that are perfect for when you’re snowed in and want some uplifting entertainment.
1. ‘Winter Castle’
With its lovely wintry scenery, cozy lodges, and a growing romance that warms your heart more quickly than hot chocolate on a freezing day, “Winter Castle” has everything we could want from a snowy day watch.
The plot of this Hallmark original centers on Jenny (Emilie Ullerup), whose sister chooses to have a destination wedding at an ice hotel. The hotel’s enchanted decor instantly captivates her.
Additionally, she is immediately enamored with the attractive best man, Craig (Kevin McGarry). One major problem we have is that he brought a “plus one.” Is it possible for this romance to succeed in the Ice Hotel? When you want to get away into a magical winter world due to the snowstorm outside, this is the perfect option.
2. ‘A Royal Winter’
“A Royal Winter” is a true Hallmark favorite packed with snow-covered scenery, cozy European charm, and classic romance.
The movie follows a young woman (Merritt Patterson) who takes a last-minute European holiday. She ends up falling for a handsome local (Jack Donnelly). Turns out that “local” is a prince who is about to be crowned King.
The movie is set against snowy streets, festive lights, and beautiful winter backdrops. “A Royal Winter” delivers exactly the kind of escapist warmth that Hallmark fans love. It’s perfect for a snow-day watch, blending a fairy-tale romance with plenty of wintry visuals that make cozying up under a warm blanket feel extra magical.
3. ‘Road to Christmas’
“Road to Christmas” definitely lives up to its name with wintry roads, snowy pit stops, and a charming story that keeps viewers locked in from the very beginning.
The Christmas movie follows Maggie Baker (Jessy Schram), a television producer, who falls for Danny Wise (Chad Michael Murray), the son and former producer of his mother’s popular annual Christmas special “Julia Wise Lifestyle.”
Maggie has a plan to secretly reunite Danny and his two brothers with Julia during a live broadcast. However, that plan goes awry. Maggie is reminded that the love of family and friends makes for the merriest of Christmases.
These are the kind of cozy, heartfelt moments that Hallmark fans crave, especially while the snow piles up outside.
4. ‘Snowkissed’
“Snowkissed” follows travel-averse journalist Kate Daniels (Jen Lilley), who reluctantly takes on her dream assignment in a snowy mountain town. However, she finds herself mentoring Noah (Chris McNally), a handsome B&B owner who wants to become a tour guide.
The charming snowy setting makes it ideal for cozy winter viewing. The movie features awesome backdrops and has that classic Hallmark winter romance vibe.
“Snowkissed” blends light-hearted humor with warm, heartfelt moments. It’s a perfect pick for a snowed-in movie day.
5. ‘Frozen in Love’
“Frozen in Love” puts a sport twist on winter romance. The story features a professional hockey player (Niall Matter) who returns home and finds an unexpected connection with someone completely outside of his world (Rachael Leigh Cook).
The movie is set against the crisp backdrop of snowy small-town life and ice arenas. “Frozen in Love” balances chilly weather visuals with warm, heartfelt moments.

I cannot believe you left out the absolute best winter movie – Winter in Vail with Tyler Hynes and Lacey Chabert two of my all time favorite Hallmark stars. I have watched this movie too many times to count. The final scene on the deck is my absolute scene.
