Hallmark’s Jessy Schram Says Her ‘A Suite Holiday Romance’ Co-Star Left Her Blushing

On December 13, Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas” extravaganza continues with the premiere of “A Suite Holiday Romance.” The movie stars Jessy Schram and Dominic Sherwood, and ahead of the premiere, Schram opened up about working with her leading man.

Dominic Sherwood Thoroughly Charmed Jessy Schram

In Hallmark’s “A Suite Holiday Romance,” Schram plays a writer named Sabrina Post. In the movie, Post heads to New York City to tackle a ghostwriting opportunity. Sherwood plays Ian Turner, and a case of mistaken identity leads to chaos and romance.

Schram talked with Us Weekly about the project, and admitted she immediately found Sherwood to be quite charming. “We did a Zoom table read, and the second Dominic started doing the role, I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m blushing,'” she told the media outlet.

She revealed, “We didn’t really have to work at chemistry, because he’s just so good.”

“He’s so good at being charming and using all of that. And he’s so great at comedy,” Schram added.

“A Suite Holiday Romance” has a lot of moving pieces, so to speak. Throughout it all, the cast had a lot of fun working together. Schram recalled, “Literally, every single day, I think I cried laughing.”

The Hallmark Star Felt Lucky the Chemistry Was So Natural & Easy

Schram described her character as “a very humble journalist” who starts to fall for a man she thinks is royalty from abroad. A “series of white lies that nobody intended to make” leads to both comedy and romance in a movie filled with plenty of holiday magic.

She told Pop Culture Planet more about the instant chemistry she felt with Sherwood. “To be honest, all he had to do was open his mouth and talk and I feel like the chemistry was there.”

“He’s so charming and he’s such a fantastic actor,” Schram emphasized. She added, “I’m very lucky that it was very easy chemistry and I felt like it only grew the more that we were filming because we became actual friends.”

Sherwood and Schram sometimes worked together off-camera to go through the script and collaborate on how to bring it all to life. “It was an extremely collaborative and intelligent experience,” she explained.

At one point in “A Suite Holiday Romance,” Schram teased, Hallmark fans will see a dance scene. She revealed that Sherwood was the one who choreographed it. The cast practiced together over a weekend, on their own, to have it ready to film.

“We all ready did bond and have that chemistry with each other. It was such a supportive environment and there was so much collaborating,” Schram said of her experience with Sherwood and the rest of the cast of “A Suite Holiday Romance.”

  1. Loved it. You could feel the connections on, pretty much with all the characters. Jessy’s character working with the man she’s going to be the ghostwriter for was so genuine and quite touching.
